I had myself convinced that OKC was going to win the finals no matter who won out East after watching how resilient they're were against LAL and the Spurs. I mean I was convinced.
I then watched game 7 and could see the Miami team Pat Riley envisioned forming before our eyes. And the most important part of the series and Miami as a team is Chris Bosh. He is the second best shooting big man in the game. I don't expect him to make 3's like that, but his ability to work off the pick and roll for pop out jumper will be key. No matter if it is Perkins, Ibaka, or Durant guarding him. One of those big dudes will have to be away from the hoop worrying about help on LeBron or Wade.
Garnetts ability to play such stellar defense for that Miami series was because he could camp under the hoop which made Bron take some jumpers. He is going to cause major problems for the Thunder all over the place.
Second biggest matchup is LeBron, on defense against Durant. He isn't going to stop Durant, but he is going to dog him and make him work harder then anyone else has these playoffs.
I know OKC has Westbrook matchup over Chalmers which is glaring, but I still think Westbrook will try and force things because it is such an obvious mismatch.
I will not bet against LeBron James to lose his 3rd final in 3 tries. Not after watching game 6 or 7. That's not to mention they have some guy named Dwayne Wade that could win a game by himself if he returned to 2006 form.
I think this OKC team is good, but most teams fail before they win one. I think Durant and Westbrook are going to learn to lose like LeBron has. It's finally time for the king to win a chip.

The only flawed logic in your posting is saying that OKC has a "glaring" advantage in the PG position. Don't be fooled by the appearance of athleticism. Chalmers has a slight edge at the PG in the series. Look for the Miami D to cause a lot of Westbrook turnovers, and that is the key to the series. Play the Heat large.

you can't seriously be this dumb. GL with Heat large haha.

Don't over react to game 1 guys. How did OKC look last series being down 0-2? These first games are always hard to judge, but OKC is very very scary in the second half.
If you go scoreless for 3 or 4 possesions like Miami did. You are in serious trouble.
Miami will never win with how they played in that 4th quarter. Jumper after jumper. Wade, bron and Bosh need to go to the rack to get to the FT.

Miami could get by Boston with Lebron generally being great and Wade being "average." They won't get by OKC with that blueprint. They both have to be great and Wade just doesn't seem himself.
Not to mention the 2-3-2 format. That puts HUGE pressure on the Heat to win all 3 home games.....or they have to win 2 on the road. You trust Miami to win 3 games in a row at home?

I still like the Heat to win the series, and last night played out perfectly for me as I decided to wait until after game one to place my bet. The Heat wilted in the 4th quarter, and I believe their stock at the window is as low as it's going to get. I may well be wrong, but I'm going to get a much better price on the series today.

Miami will be lucky to win 2 games in the series...
Ok city didn't even shoot well missing atkeast 8 wide open 3 balls...
Miami is stacking the lane cause they can't stop the penetration, and are playing with fire...
The only reason Miami had a lead is they started 5-6 from 3...
Ok City is too fast and too long for them...
Don't be shocked if the series doesn't even come back to Ok City
The only reason MIA is here is because they played offensively challenged East teams
Spot on IMO. Miami is generally a very solid defensive team and OKC schooled them. I think OKC continues to make Miami a jump shooting team knowing they have a very good chance of out scoring them if they do. I trust Harden and Durant and company to win a jump shooting battle with Wade and Lebron and company most of the time. And the thing is, OKC has options when Westbrook drives. Many options. Miami loses options when Wade and Lebron drive.
Never like to over-react to one game, but that's what I saw last night.

I agree with everything you guys said, but I still believe Miami can adjust and win this series.
They were taking terrible shots in the 4th, leading to run outs for OKC. That changed the game. They need to try and push it a little more.
Miami, who usually is a good fast breaking team, got destroyed last night in FB points. Chalmers must stay back and be prepared for the break.
And if Wade plays like that, they got no shot. For how much shit LeBron gets from media, twitter, fans....Wade gets such a free pass it is unreal.
With the 2-3-2 format I think it benefits the road team actually, that is if you can win 1 of the first two games. When I made this bet, I thought okay, Miami will win one of the first two in OKC. Then go back to Miami and take 2 of 3.

And yes OKC will of course beat Miami at a shooting contest. That is exactly what they want.
Bosh, Wade, and James need to attack attack attack, because we all know how these refs are toward Miami.
If you shoot jumpers like Miami did in the 4th and start missing. OKC will run you out the fucking building. When the big 3 started settling for jumpers in the 4th that is what happened and it was over. By allowing OKC to get long rebounds off of long jump shots, you give OKC the chance to fastbreak and score. Then they run back and set up their defense. Miami must get to the line.
Spoelstra must give Cole and James Jones some burn to keep Wade and Bron fresh.

The problem is Miami can't get to the basket. The Thunder are too fast and too long. They can back off and still get a hand in the face on a jumper. They don't allow you to get to the basket.
On the other side, Miami has no answer for them on defense. They can't stop the peneteation and are forced to play in the lane.
Miami didn't stop them in the 1st half, ok City just shot very poorly. If you look at how many WIDE OPEN shots they missed in the 1st half its crazy.

I agree if they played how they did in the 4th quarter but LeBron had a decent time getting to the hoop early in the game because his jumper wasn't like last series.
That last quarter Miamis pace totally changed and they played a slow halfcourt iso offense that led to jumpers, no ball movement. This let OKC get in transition and score. Miami needs to be the ones attacking OKC in transition. It's the only way they can win.
I'm still very optimistic, I thought Miami might win last night, but I wasn't shocked they lost really. They hurt themselves with their offensive strategy.

Miami went up 2-0 and lost three straight to Celts. They managed to wear out Boston in games 6 and 7. Now tell me how the Heat are going to fare against a team that won't run out of gas and go away.
