haven't fucked with totals since that terrible start you see above. but i want to keep the record (this ain't woopd's thread after all) and i figured i'd split it up since it's probably all sides from here.

shrimp, i'm trying to find situations where the SP's numbers aren't as good as they appear and there are some other edges in the matchup, given the odds. here, i don't think lewis is as good as his era and i would rate the bullpens as about even. KC has been winning on the road, you have to think the rangers are a little overvalued, particularly after last night's loss. at +215, i'll put half a unit on it.
all that being said, the rangers probably win by dd's.

for what it's worth shrimp, also had the giants and marlins circled. i didn't play the giants because their league worst defense scared me off at those high odds.
i really like the johnson over correja matchup tonight. it was tough to lay off that one, but the pirates bullpen has been much better at the odds they are throwing out for that one. good luck.

Very true...
His home ERA the past 3 years is 4.51 and last year he posted a home ERA @ 5.5 - this year, he's started only 3 games @ home and that was -vs- the Mariners, White Sox, and Rays. Not your average powerhouse teams from an offensive standpoint...
He's given up the most Homers in the AL the past 2 years and trails only Bronson Arroyo for the MLB lead.
Colby Lewis = Not. That. Good.
I'm back to the well myself tonight with the *OVER 10*

The Royals are not a home run hitting team. They try to dink and dunk you to death but choke when it's time to bring a runner home from scoring position.
The big unknown is Vinnie "the Guinea" Mazzarro making his first start of the season. He might be catching the Rangers at the right time, having scored only a run last night after the Sunday night hangover (was Josh Hamilton drinking too?)
First off, Good Luck, CD
Secondly, let's hear it for the pride of Jacksonville, FL : Mr. Billy "The Bat" Butler.

but a lot of juice there and no good bullpen edges to justify those high prices, except possibly seattle but i'm not betting that shit offense as a road favorite.

probably nothing today.

Agreed with most of those pitching matchups, CD. But I've uncovered some statistics off Madison Bumgarner, SP for the Giants tonight, in bounce back starts in which the previous game he allowed 4ER + or more...
Since Bumgarner became a SP in 2010 - here's his stats in "bounce back starts" after a game he allowed 4ER or more: = 7-2 with an ERA @ 2.33
Also, Jamie Garcia lines up in this situation as well since he was shelled his last outing -vs- Atlanta, and here's Garcia's "bounce back starts" after a game he allowed 4ER or more since 2010: = 5-1 with an ERA @ 3.14
For me, I'll be fairly large on the *UNDER 6.5* in this game but hoping to get 6 @ some +money.
