Philadelphia at Pittsburgh - See my write up below...
Flyers won 6 of L-10 meetings including 4 of the L-4 in Pittsburgh.
Both teams have issues... Philly in Goal and Pens on defense...
Pens playing 4th game in 6 calender days.
Flyers playing in B2B but only 3rd in 6 days.
Both teams are 1-2 in L-3 games (...Flyers 13GF 10 GA - Pens 11GF 13GA...)
L-10 games vs ALL NHL by both teams (Pens 6-3-1-0 with 45GF 35-GA - Flyers 6-2-0-2 with 30GF 19GA).
Combined goals, Both teams,in L-10 meetings (6 in Philly - 4 in Pittsburgh - 5-10-6-5-7-3-5-5-6-5 for Avg of 5.7 goals a game) Red played in Pittsburgh... BOLD won by Philly.
The best logical play is the Over-6 especially since it's an early game.
But the line is sweet for the dog here.and if you can get the total lower than 6 that is the best play in this contest since 3 of the L5 have gone to at least 6 including the L-2 in Pittsburgh.
In Pens L-10 games played... The over was set at 5.5 and went 9-1 including 7-0 in L-7... Since Bryzgalov was hurt the L-3 Flyers games have all gone Over 5.5 goals.
I hate to jinx the Flyers with a pick on them But I will be playing Flyers and the Over 6 in SOME parlays... I tried to take the Pens but I just can't do it... not here. It just seems like a set up with the way things have been going. If you are going to take the Pens than I highly suggest that rather than taking a side... take Pens in the first period since that is where Philly has been most vulnerable lately.GO OPPO FLYERS in 1st Period but take Philly for the Game at the dog line. I also like the Over in the 1st period as well.
Picks for this game are as follows...
1st Period - Pens -1/2 goal and Over 1 1/2 goals both teams
Full Game - Flyers+ML and Over-6 (better at 5.5 if you can get it)

Florida at Detroit - This will be the 3rd road game in 4 nights for FLA and by then the Wings will have been home for it's 2nd in 3 nights... As easy as it looks to take the Wings side here I just do not trust them as far as I can spit. On the other hand, we have a FLA team that is 1-2 on this current roadtrip with losses to Columbus and the Wild. NOTE- CLM has beaten BOTH these teams recently... and these are playoff teams...???
I think the safe bet here is to take the Over-5 goals for the Game since I can easily see a 4-2 game no matter which team decides to try and win here... or should I say... decides NOT to lose here. The Wings are better at home but are still trying to find solid ground to be consistent enough to justify anyone risking -175 on them in this situation. I know that they will get a pre-game pep talk from Gordie Howe and all that but c'mon guys... these are not kids who need a pep talk... These are professional hockey players whos team is just 2-8 in its L-10 efforts.
Florida is 5-5 in its L-10 but just 1-5 in thier L-6 played. The good news for FLA is that they have only allowed 14 RegTime goals in thier L-6 games... However the bad news is that they have only scored 9 RegTime goals in those L-6 games.
Over the same amount of games the Wings have scored 19 RegTime goals(7 in one game) and given up 20 RegTime goals in its L-6 games. I think this game finds a way to reach NO LESS than 5 goals and may need an EN goal to bring home the Over-5 for the fans. I can't pick a side in this semi-meaningless game so I recommend the Over-5 as the best play here.

Boston at NYRangers - The Bruins played yesterday while the Rangers had an off day with No travel. Boston has recovered nicely from a recent slump and is 6-2 in its L-8 games including 4 of its L-5 played. Red lights have been ablaze in Bruins games lately with the following amount of goals in thier L-10 games... 8-5-7-5-6-3-8-5-8-7 combined goals in thier L-10 games. The BOLD were Bruins wins... and the RED indicated a Bruins LOSS... The Rangers have won 6 of thier L-7 played and also 4-0 in L-4 played. In those L-7 games the Rags have outscored its opponents 19-10 in RegTime goals.
The Rangers have beaten the Bruins in 8 of the L-10 H2H games and have won 5 in a row over Boston while outscoring them 16-8 in those L-5 meetings.
The Rangers are currently tied at 107 points with Vancouver for the NHL's best record overall. Boston sits in the number 2 seed in the East and has a 6 point lead over OTT for thier division. OTT also plays today and both teams will have just 3 games remaining after Sundays contests. The Bruins look to be locked into that #2 seed in the East since FLA is also 6 points behind them in the Conference standings. Since the Bruins played yesterday I like the Rangers to take this one on Sunday and I will also be playing the Over-5 which should no less than Push in my opinion.
Summary - Take Rangers-ML (-140) and Over-5 goals if you like.
No Action if Lundqvist is NOT in net for NYRangers.

Edmonton at Anahiem - Meaningless game as far as playoffs are concerned as both teams are OUT of the picture. As for the L-10 recent H2H games the Ducks are 9-1 in them including 4 of the L-5 played at Anahiem. The Under is set at 5.5 goals and seems to be the best play with only 3 of the L-10 meetings having gone Over the total however the L-2 times it went over were in Anahiem including the last played there... a 4-2 Ducks win on 3/5/12... In the most recent games played in Anahiem by these two teams they combined for the following amount of goals in those games... 6-5-6-9-5 goals combined. The BOLD RED indicates an Oilers win. The Over 5.5 could be the sneaky hit here.
Either way... I think that the Oilers have cooled off but with the Ducks having played last night (0-4 loss at PHX) the young Oilers could not only keep this close but snap that losing streak to the Ducks. Like I said... this is a meaningless game and there are better games on the board... but this could help boost any parlays you might consider so I'll select Anahiem-ML (-145) and the Over 5.5 goals as my selections in this game.
I expect a 3-2 game and hopefully an EN goal by the Ducks to cap the Over 5.5 play.
Only ONE of the L-10 meetings has gone into extra play (OT or SO) and that was in December of 2010... There have been 4 games played by these teams since then.
The teams also meet again one more time in the regular season. That game will be in Edmonton on Thursday 4/5/12. After this game the Oilers stay in town to play the LA Kings on Monday night... while the Ducks fly out to face the Canucks on Tuesday night 4/3/12.
The Ducks are 21-17-2-0 at home this season and the Oilers are 13-21-0-4 on the road this season. Some of the Ducks most recent home wins were vs the following teams... SJ, STL, DET, EDM, CGY, CHI... Some of the Oilers most recent Road wins were vs the following teams... CLM, FLA, NASH, SJ, WIN, CGY, OTT.
The Oilers are on a 4-0-0-2 road run and have not lost in RegTime on the Road since a 2-4 loss at Anahiem on 3/5/12.
The Ducks are 8-4 in thier L-12 at home but just 2-3 in its L-5 with home cooking (2-1 in L-3). They are 3-3 at home following after the 4-2 win over EDM in Anahiem on 3/5/12.

Ottawa at NYIslanders - Both teams on the back end of B2B games with the Isles losing 3-6 at home to the Bruins and OTT winning 4-3 in a shootout in Philly. Ottawa still needs to clinch a playoff spot while the Isles are playing out the games and doing well recently before yesterdays loss.
These teams have been in some high scoring games lately. For the Sens thier game shave had totals of 7-12-10-6 in thier L-4 games... For the Isles thier games have been 9-8-8-5-7-7 recently.
I do expect another high scoring game in this one. In the L-10 meetings the teams have combined for totals in games of 7-6-3-7-8-10 goals. Should be another Over with the number set at Over-5.5 goals in this one.
Ottawa has won 6 of the L-10 H2H and that includes the L-2 played however the Isles won the 3 games previous to that.
Ottawa is just 5-5 in its L-10 but on a 3-0 run... The Isles are also just 5-5 in its L-10 but on a 5-2 run.
This will be the Isles 6th game in the L-9 days... for the Sens this will be just thier 4th game in the L-9 days.
Ottawa need the two points and I expect them to play like it. They should jump out fast so a 1st period play might be a good way to go with less juice than the game. I also like the 1st period Over 1 1/2 goals in this one.
No need to take a side so my best selection here is the Over-5.5 goals for the full game.

Minnesota at Chicago - The Blackhawks clinched a playoff spot with by winning in RegTime yesterday 5-4 at Nashville. They blew a 4-0 lead but got the game winner that they needed without having to go extra time or SO. The Preds had played the night before in Detroit and traveled home for the game vs the Hawks. This showed as the Hawks jumped out to build that 4-0 lead before the Preds found the cracks in the Hawks defense. As for the Wild they have won thier last 2 games (1 in OT and 1 in SO) by beating two playoff bound teams, FLA and LA. The Wild do not score much but play decent defense and with both teams having played last night this one will either be tight and low scoring or loose and easily over the posted total of 5 goals. I would NOT feel safe betting the under here... Not with the Hawks potential to score.
The Hawks are 7-3 in thier L-10 overall (2-2 L-4). In those 7 wins they have 26 RegTime goals (1 in OT and have won 2 shootouts). In this 7-2 run they have allowed 22 RegTime goals.
In the Wild's L-10 games the UNDER is 4-3 with 3 Push as well. The Wild are just 2-9 in thier L-11 road games (1-6 in L-7) and have not won on the road since a 3-2(SO) win at PHX on 3/8/12.
The Hawks are 4-2 in thier L-6 at home with wins over STL(twice) and The Caps and Vancouver. The losses were to LA and Nashville.
When the Wild and Hawks have gone H2H the Over has hit in 4 of the L-5 and was set at o/u 5.5 goals in each game. The Hawks have also won 4 of the L-5 and 4-0 in the L-4 played. The Hawks are 4-1 in the L-5 played in Chicago. The teams have combined for totals of 7-5-6-5-4 goals in the L-5 played in Chicago. The BOLD indicates the lone win by the Wild at Chicago in the L-5 meetings there and that win was on on 1/25/11... a 4-2 Wild win.
My guess is a Hawks 3-2 or 4-2 win in this one... but if they can muster a 5-1 win that would be just fine with me. Should the Hawks fall in this one I'd expect no less than a 2-3 type of loss which would Push the Over-5 total.
The line here is just to high to risk a play in this game (CHI -230) but I'll be more than willing to recommend a chance on the Over-5 total for the game ...
The ONLY prudent play here is Over-5 goals for full game...
That's All Folks...
I will be out and about all day tomorrow so enjoy the games without me...

I think the Best play is to go OPPO Philly in the 1st period... In the L-8 Flyers games they have been outscored in the 1st period by 11-3 and only held thier oppo scoreless ONCE while being kept scoreless in 6 of these games. This is definitely the HOT play for this game. Take Pens-ML in 1st period.
L-8 Flyers 1st periods goals allowed - 3-1-2-0-1-1-1-2
L-8 Flyers 1st periods goals scored - 0-2-0-1-0-0-0-0
Again... Pens 1st Period and Flyers for full game...

All my selections and suggestions are posted in all my threads... If you read the writeups you will find all straight suggestions there. I only post parlays since my straights are listed in the write ups. If the line is too high for a solo play I will mention it there as well. If I think a game can go either way I might try and middle that side also in parlays. Same with totals.

Just got back from my commitment today so just now posted the last play I made before running out the door earlier... did not have time to post then. Not looking good for it as it stands. Hope you all had a good Sunday... I'm going to now start looking at games for Monday and the rest of the week.
