I do not hate him, I wish him success. His success equals my success and our country as a whole.
I also disagree with all the people who want him to fail, it doesn't make sense. There are a lot of blinded people that dislike him for the wrong reasons and it is a shame.
However, I feel his policies are not effective towards what our country needs to recover.
Everybody has their head in the sand when it comes to our debt like it will magically go away one day. I don't blame him for all of our debt but he has been a major contributor towards it.
The debt keeps piling on, when will it end? How about you take out a
credit card max it get a new credit card to pay the first credit card
max it take out another credit card and so on and so on and see how that works for you.
It is going to come to a head one day and end bad somewhere down the road. A year? 2 years? 5 years? 10 years? I have no idea but we will collapse
unless some MAJOR changes to our economic policies happen.
Social Security is not sustainable in its current form. I also don't blame him for that. But it needs a major overhaul like everything else in our system and he isn't doing much about it. Personally I don't believe in the SS system. I would much prefer to handle my retirement needs on my own without being forced to pay into a failing system. Where is the freedom in that?
He is no better or worse than Bush was. He is the same warmonger as the last President. He is a politician who has a self serving agenda just like the rest. What happened to the line by line review of our budget and all the other campaign promises he didn't keep. There was no change and hope is fleeting. He is more of the same. It doesn't matter who you vote for Romney, Gingrich or Obama whoever wins the election nothing will change.
You guys argue constantly over what is ultimately the same choice. It's pointless. Who is better? Who sucks? Obama, Bush, Romney Gingrich ad nauseum it's all the same, take off your blinders. Use that passion for true reform and not for the same stagnation we are wallowing in.
While Ron Paul may have what is deemed to be EXTREME ideas we are in an EXTREME situation and need an EXTREME restructure of what was a good basic framework that developed into a mutated monster due to self serving agendas and not the will of the people.
However, I am a realist so if Paul were to get elected I honestly don't think he would be allowed to do what he wants to do anyway. The GOP and the DEMS would unite to become the "Party of No" (I hate these fucking cliches).
But at least he gives me a sliver of hope so I will take that over no hope at all with the other GOP candidates and our POTUS.
While I don't like to be a harbinger of doom I really don't see much hope for our future. Why would I think that common sense policies and decisions would be implemented when the for the last 50+ years we have been on a downward spiral, it is only noticeable recently due to the speed in which we are falling.
Hopefully after our collapse people will open their eyes and a new day will dawn so we can rise from the ashes to rebuild into the country we are supposed to be.
