RETIREMENT IS THE BEST MOVE YES OR NO?
I agree, Crow. No More fights at WW. He's just too small. He has so much natural talent that he was able to take on a bigger fighter and compete, at the same time as not training as hard as many, OUTSIDE OF THE 2-3 MONTH CAMP, for a particular fight.
I think in today's MMA world, specifically UFC, you have to be a full time fighter. and that means being in shape year round, and not slacking when you don't have an upcoming fight. You have to make a commitment to be a fighter for "x" amount of years, and totally dedicate yourself.
He would always accuse GSP of being on roids because he was in great shape. Of course GSP is not that type of competitior, that he would cheat with roids. GSP trains year round. And today, there is too much at stake not to. Losses are too critical if you want to remain in the UFC and compete against the best.
There are very few fights that Penn should take. top 5 or so ranked LWs. If he can win 1-2 fights against top fighters, due to all he has done in the sport, I think he could earn another title shot. Maybe Penn Diaz 2. This time the smaller Diaz though!.
Here's a thought. I would love Bendo to beat Edgar. I think Cowboy will beat diaz, setting up Bendo/Cowboy 3. Chances are the winner of Guillard/Miller gets the next shot, but maybe the winner of a potential Penn/Diaz fight would be in line too. But that is thinking way down the road.
blabber, blabber,... just my opinion

The Italian Stallion, Serra, would have to stop eatin pasta!
Since I went so far into the future of the top LW matchups, who does Maynard get next?
