Just a friendly reminder to all who use this angle when making your picks today. There's a reason these teams "need to win"
Because they haven't gotten the job done so far.
And just because they need to win doesn't mean they need to cover the inflated spreads.
And the team they are playing against? Well, maybe they have nothing left to play for except to be a spoiler. They will be loose, they will take chances. They would like nothing better than to end your season. And a lot of these games are divisional rivalries.
Perfect examples are the Giants/Redskins or Colts/Titans. Giants as a road favorite? Really?
Just thought I'd put that thought in your head. Good luck today.

Good thoughts although the Colts/Packers, two teams in need of wins, have been ravaged by injuries this season so even though your point is correct, I can understand why they are in the position they are.
I'm not sure i trust the Colts to cover the big line today though. They still don't stop the run well.

As far as the Colts/Titans, I can tell you that the Titans players do not care. I live in Nashville and anyone that goes out in this town can tell you that ALL of the younger players have been out getting hammered at the bars. Especially on the 30th and NYE. Fisher has lost this team and I believe they will get blown out today.

This may be true with some teams. It is definitely something that should be taken into account when playing the games.
Personally, I like KC against Tenn last week due to KC needing the game and Tenn not really playing for much. I like the whole situation of uncertainty with the Young situation and the team being separated into factions. I like KC's talent and experience. This week I like going against Tenn for the same reasons and I like taking Manning in a situation where he controls his own playoff destiny.

Great post. That said, I'm laying the 4 points with the giants today. I also have Seattle +3 tonight.
