Well guys every year we have the head coach carousel but we forget coordinators. This thread is a handful of games where new coordinators face a school they were a HC at or a school they were at LY. Lets get to it
Aug 31st Ohio State at Indiana{Former HC Kevin Wilson now an OC at Ohio State}
Oct 21st Kansas at TCU{Doug Meachem the new OC at Kansas was Co-OC at TCU the last few years}
Sep 9th MTSU at Syracuse{MTSU's new DC is former Syracuse HC Scott Shafer. You know he'd like some revenge pie}
Sep 30th Ball State at WKU{Ball State's new DC David Elson was at one time the HC at WKU}
Nov 4th Wake Forest at Notre Dame{ ND's new DC Mike Elko was DC at Wake Forest LY. Boy has Brian Kelly fallen hiring an OC from Memphis and a DC from Wake Forest}
When you do your research for the season guys circle these games in your magazines or logs that way you can make some money or save some money

November 4th, the Oregon Ducks play the Washington Huskies where former Oregon OC Matt Lubick serves as co-OC and WR coach. Lubick took quite the circuitous route to get there. After being terminated at Oregon, he was initially hired as WR coach at Ole Miss. Two weeks later, he jumped ship, most likely in response to the NCAA allegations against the Rebels. He landed at Baylor as their co-OC, a job he had for all of a month before heading to Seattle. Weird to say the least. Lubick is a hell of a good coach and definitely a rising star in the coaching world. He's the son of Colorado State legend Sonny Lubick, and his brother Marc coaches WRs for the Buffalo Bills.
I wouldn't cap this game any differently than if he wasn't there, to be honest. The Ducks are running a new system this year under first-year HC Willie Taggart which will be similar to the "Gulf Coast Offense" he ran at USF so it's not like Lubick will know the calls, the plays, the schemes, etc. But it's no secret what the winning formula will be- a healthy dose of 235 pound wrecking ball Royce Freeman and plenty of play-action to explosive receivers Darren Carrington and Charles Nelson.

I was up late last night and was doing some thinking to this thread. And I remembered that LY we had an OC at Nevada Nick Rolovich became the HC at Hawaii. And I was wondering if he wad anything similar to that this year and we do:
Sep 16th Fresno State at Washington
Jeff Tedford the new HC at Fresno was an offensive analyst for Washington LY. Now is Fresno going to beat Washington because Tedford was there LY? Hell no. But with the knowledge he has of those players they could cover the big number of points where they'll be a dog to the Huskies

Great info. This is a huge aspect I look for in capping games. Does the OC/DC have a familiarity w the opponent or the coaching staff? Helpful for o/U as well if you knw certain styles and how teams have fared vs a system in the past.
Honestly, tracking OC/DC moves are more significant than HC since often the coordinators play a much more direct role in calling plays and dictating game flow. They also aren't talked about AS much as HC rematches and sometimes the background or revenge of OC/DC won't be reflected in the line as a result.
