killing it this year and i love the card this week but im betting a lot of ugly teams so i hope this isnt the week i fall from grace.
oakland +7.5 (-120)
kansas city have been my cash cow this year i think im unbeaten betting them but this is the week to oppose them imo where all the intangeables are with the raiders. first the spot is brutal for the chiefs coming off the very physical battle with seattle with a huge divisional game on deck with denver which could have a big say on who wins the afc west. now they take on the winless raiders who have their last chance to show the nation they can win a game lol. this is their all in game leave it all out there.lose this and they are staring down the barrel of 0-16. throw in the revenge card for that embarrasing defeat last year at home and you have all the makings of a live home dog. getting the hook over a touchdown is the clincher to me which makes this one fine bet.
ny giants +3 (not locked in yet waiting for a 3.5)
in a way similar to the oakland write up. the giants know their season is done but they have one more primetime game left and its against a hated rival so they will be up for this game bigtime. dallas is fat and happy coming of a nice little trip to london and then a bye and i think they walk into a buzzsaw here. the giants more than competed with a good 49ers team but obviously the turnovers killed em. this is their superbowl and with romos health still not 100% i wouldnt be surprised to see an outright giants win the field goal extra is a bonus.
6pt teasers (-110)
san diego +1.5 / washington +15
massive overaction to st louis's win over denver and san diegos squeak past oakland. think san fran wins but massive lookahead spot for them with seattle on deck.
minnesota +15.5 / denver -1
the vikings are scrappy green bay is humming but with the pats to come i think they take minnesota lightly and just do enough to win. with the loss last week denver needs this game like stink miami is in a sandwich spot here between divisional games with buffalo and the jets and i think denver brings it here against a good dolphins team they know they cant take lightly.
my biggest card of the year and a nasty one with plenty of bad teams but heres hoping my reads are right

no way giants beat cowboys coming off a bye.. giants cant stop the run or pass.. if romo stays heathly.. cowboys easy cover..
oakland?last in offense? scored 6 points vs a sliding chargers team thats bin losing to everyone...oakland cant stop chiefs run...chiefs have the best pass defense in the league... oakland run the ball?dont think so... they avg 63yds a game...against a chiefs dee that beat the hawks n the pats....

OK, I'm just throwing this out there for comment. It has seemed to me [a contrarian by nature] that during this shank portion of the season, a lot of big public favorites cover. I'm thinking that the teams with nothing to play for are a little down and take their training regimen less seriously[I.E. they party a little more]. The teams in contention are more focused as even the games against doormats are vital. On the gambling front, the guys who have been rolling high going against the public are cocky and likely to step up their bets while the general public is disheartened and isn't sure of anything. The Raiders game is prime time and they're desperate to get off the shnyde while Chiefs have been raking in $s for bettors, so this may not apply here. Just sayin, it seems like I've always lost a lot of contrarian plays at this point in the season. Now, the end of the season, bad teams have players looking to keep their jobs, who go all out, while good teams are concentrating on the playoffs and staying healthy. Has anybody else had similar experiences?
