WestHam - why does Washington -15 over Hawaii scream trap....
yes, I know prima facie, it seems low, which begs the question, why is it so low? What does Vegas know that we don't?
I think you have to cap this game like any other. And since it is a first game, I don't think Hawaii will have its traditional advantage ATS and SU against teams from the mainland. If Peterson tells his boys that this is a business trip, and desires to make an opening statement, I just don't see the Bows sticking with the Huskies in this one. Yes, Miles is suspended, but the two guys that could start were top 10 QBS in the nation. Sark recruited very well, and the most obvious delta I see here is talent.
In addition, Peterson seemed to TCB with his Boise teams when he went to the Islands (and that includes ATS).
This is the one game that I don't think that I want to overthink. Wash will play shut down D with superior talent, pound the ball on the ground, and throw high percentage passes to get their green QB's acclimated to game situations. If one of the QB's really steps up against Hawaii, Miles may have to "earn" his way back to the starting line up...
I think this is going to be a beat down.
