Come on!! This is unacceptable. Let's get rolling here.
PITTSBURGH V CAROLINA OVER 5.5 -115 2u
Have to figure that the Penguins goal scoring slump ends. They sure have been putting a lot of rubber on opposing goalies but have ben nipped by some hot goaltending. In Toronto the other night they put 38 shots on the Leafs' Reimer but managed only one goal. The game before that they put 42 on the Islanders but only managed 3 goals. That's not like the Penguins with all their offensive weapons usually accounting for better scoring percentages when they get that many shots on goal.
Tonight they face the Hurricanes who they beat 5-2 earlier this season on the back of 38 shots on net (more like their historical shots/goal percentages)
Carolina will go with Peters in goal tonight. He gave up 4 goals on 34 shots on Fruday. He's got the number one role for now due to injuries to Ward and Khubodin and it helps for the over here that he is 0-2 with a 3.16 GAA with a pooer .891 save percentage.
Marc Andre Fleury goes up against the Hurricanes tonight with a career 2.70 GAA and a save percentage of just over .900. My power ratings have the Canes scoring 2 tonight with the Penguins likely scoring 4.
There are 2 trends with a total rating of 2 stars.
PITTSBURGH is 19-5 ATS (+11.9 Units) off a road loss over the last 3 seasons. The average score was PITTSBURGH 4.4, OPPONENT 2.3
Pittsburgh games over the last 3 seasons when playing off a road loss have averaged 6.7 goals. The Penguins are also 25-13 "over" v teams with a sub .500 record over the last 3 seasons with those games averaging 7 goals. Recent series history is also on our side with the Penguins/Canes going over the total quite easily over the last 3 meetings with Pittsburgh victories of 5-2, 8-3 and 5-3.

Montreal goes with Budaj between the pipes tonight. He sports a career GAA of 3.12 in 3 career starts against the Rangers who finally come home to play their first home game in what should be an electric Madison Square Garden.
Montreal has allowed a lot of shots so far this season and it might come back to bite them tonight against a hungry and motivated team.
As for the Rangers, they still have to contend with the fact that Lundqvuist has started off slowly this year sporting a 3.45 GAA with a .890 save percentage. The combination of the Canadiens propensity for allowing a lot of shots and the goaltending matchup should result in some goals tonight.
Both teams allow over 30 shots per game and if the teams maintain their shots per goal percentages we should see 6 goals in tonight's game. My number is 6.1
