If by spotlight signings you mean Mike Wallace then yea. They didn't really make any other huge moves. Wheeler and Ellerbee replace Dansby and Barnett for less and both are younger. Clabo signed after Long left and for much cheaper.Keller is coming in on a one year contract. I don't really consider Gibson and Louis to be big name guys. Long was pretty average last season. Philbin wants guys who fall in line. Long, Dansby, Barnett and Bush were all vocal guys and now all are gone.
Their biggest concern is by far the o-line. Pouney the lone exception and is a top 3 center in the league. Everyone else sucks. Martin especially was terrible and now is expected to replace a fastly decreasing Long. I firmly believe that Tannehill will eventually be the second best qb in his draft. Not elite but maybe comparable to Matt Ryan. I really like wihat they are doing but the question is how does he develop behind such a shotty unit.
The other thing is the db's. At safety Clemons is solid and Jones is sick. The 2 starters for now are 2 guys who played 5 total games and one had back surgery. The other tore his achilles. Their other corners are to rookies and crappy Nolan Carroll.

I know I said I wouldn't acknowledge you anymore but this is just too funny to ignore.
Please, Mr Miami Homer, please show me the way to winning millions of dollars betting on sports. This might be the life changing opportunity that I desperately desire.
You can start by posting a link to a thread that you've started here at Covers that has some winners in it. Or at the very least some kind of informative literature, about anything. I'll wait. Thanks.
You called me a Miami homer while my user name is "go rays." Are you that dumb that you think Tampa Bay is close to Miami? I am a Buccaneers fan, although I bet against them without any second thought. Your sack rate and average carry stats are worth less than dog garbage. I have posted screenshots of giant 5 figure bets before but I have learned that doesn't do much good on a message board. No need for it.

Ryan Tannehill will never be the 2nd best QB in that draft. Wilson and Griffin are far better. Please.
Jonathan Martin is a 2nd year guy who was one of the most talented linemen in the 2012 draft. He is going to be a stud. How can you say a guy like that sucks? He did pretty well as a rookie. He is going to be one of the best linemen in the league.

A quick search of your posting history yields absolutely nothing but you hanging all over every move that LeBron and the Miami Heat make. Furthermore, not one of your moronic threads has any information or wagers in it, which is probably why most of them are no longer than 1 comment. You've shockingly contributed nothing to this thread either, other than falsely claiming that one of the lesser o-lines in the NFL is one of the best. This thread is filled with FACTS, posted by myself and a few others, and you've consistently done nothing but dumb it down with your insulting tone and less than impressive bragging. You're worthless to this forum.

You're not alone with the belief in Ryan Tannehill. I'm not in that camp, though. Good luck this year, JW. I miss that old avatar...

Incognito made the pro bowl last year. I didn't realize linemen that suck are named to the pro bowl. Amazing.
I never said he sucked, I said he was an average offensive lineman who takes too many penalties, especially dumb ones.
He did make the pro-bowl last year, but only because of an injury on the AFC roster. I hope Cognito has 5 straight pro-bowl appearances and wins a bunch of superbowls as a Dolphin...but that won't happen.
If you watch Fins games this year, expect to hear his name a lot more than you should out of the referees mouth.

Since you're a Miami fan, I'm glad that you can see through this guy's gibberish. I'm trying my hardest not to stoop to his level but I'm teetering right on the edge here... He's done a great job of getting under my skin.

it will be very close. i say worse case scenario they win 6 games and best case they win 9. I would side with the under too, with a gun to my head. I predict 7-9

Good luck to all the doubters in here this season.
You're the doubter my man.
CAN'T WAIT for Cameron Wake, Oliver Vernon and Dion Jordan to absolutely destroy quarterbacks this year. Miami's D line is currently freaking out NFL head coaches all around the league.

I'm seeing Miami is the underdog in this game @. +1. All Cleveland really needs Is a FIELDGOAL to cover. With the home field advantage and past trends between the 2 teams I think Cleveland will win and cover the spread.

Hey, douche bag, looks like you were right about the Dolphins starting 0-5, and your bet looks great! I guess your user name is a pretty accurate description of you. Not only that, but the Dolphins O-line has actually excelled, especially in pass blocking. So looks like you were wrong, like I tried to tell you. But the good news is that you only bet 100 dollars a game, while I am betting 5 figures. No need to check my post history for that one. Loser. Take your loss like a man.

Hey, fadeonly, since you took the time to write a paragraph about my posting history and attempt to berate me about your "facts" of the Dolphins offensive line being bad (what a joke), surely you have time to come in here and eat your crow.

Other than Pouncey, Dolphins o-line is average to below average. We've given up 9 sacks in 2 weeks (part of this is Tannehill holding the ball too long). Week 1 we averaged less than 1 yard per carry. These are not the stats of a "good" o-line.
That being said, the defense is ferocious, especially the D-line. Matt Ryan is NOT a scrambling QB and will eat the turf at least 4-5 times this weekend behind that O-line, probably leading to a couple turnovers. Miami's main concern will be how to cover Tony Gonzalez, although he has had a slow start to the year, Miami always has trouble covering tight ends.
Miami should be able to move the ball on offense, I don't see anything particularly threatening about the Falcons D. I'd put them on par with the Colts D.
Miami wins 27-14 in a defensive masterpiece, Matt Ryan gets beat up and Julio Jones get blanketed all day by Brent Grimes.
