Cant wait to see my Knights in action at home, but was looking for some insight on the UCLA vs Nevada. I have looked all over the forum, and don't believe that a thread has been created for this game yet.
Was never a huge fan of UCLA until I saw what their head coach was able to do last year with the program. From what I'm seeing, the main question mark is at RB after Franklin was drafted.
Nevada runs that pistol offense that most teams aren't exposed to throughout the year. Not to mention their QB Cody Fajardo is an animal back there.
Right now the current spread is UCLA -19.5 on 5Dimes.

Well I go to UCF, but I was born in New Jersey so technically a fan of both!! Think my Golden Knights are going to have a great under the radar year. Rutgers on the other hand might be in for a rough start to the year. I just feel them catching that many points is tempting me to lean that way. Still doing research, but if this line hits 21 I might have to take a swing at it!

NV defeated UCLA with Kolin K. running the Pistol. This will be offensive coordinator Nick Rolovich handling offense for NV. Word is he was hand picked by Ault to hybrid the Pistol with run and shoot which he had at Hawaii before coming to NV. Cody Fajardo is adequate but he is no Kolin K.

According to who? I am an alum and graduated '07 and the R cannot just "be dropped". The school is The University of Nevada, Reno. The website is unr.edu even, Some students tried to show emphasis on us being only "Nevada" as it showed some semblance of being the major University in the state however many people I know still use that term

Ault did a great job no doubt building the program... *and as an INNOVATOR....pistol and the middle screen it seems...
But as a PLAY CALLER ???......I didn't watch a ton of Nevada football but most every time I did .....and bet on them.....I'm yelling at the TV.....as he busts it up the gut about 50+ times...."get CK OUTSIDE you dumb-azz!!!".... *seems like they were extremely predictable
Rolovich was the OC in name only LY...their base O will stay the same....but look for them to pass more...to pass more effectively.....and to be less predictable *already stated kinda sorta
Keep in mind HC Polian is also a highly respected ST coach....and has coached under Harbaugh...Shaw....and Sumlin.....(Weis we'll forget about)...... *I don't think he's in over his head here at all
Bruins with a brand new secondary....and weren't very good back there LY *no that's not a good thing.....as these guys couldn't beat those guys out
UCLA should move it here for sure....but *couldn't run that well WITH Franklin *allowed 52 sacks LY *Fajardo vs BCS teams LY averaged.... 73%...8,6 yds/att...151 PR...rushed for 106/g
Pack looks like a solid value play here....line maybe should be closer to 14-15....oddsmakers expecting Nevada to take a step back.....I don't think it will happen....but may not put money behind that thought week 1 ........
Humble when ambitious - gracious when successful - resilient when you fail.

EVERY local refers to the school as UNR, despite the athletics department's attempts to brand the school as just "Nevada."

Kinda like Hawaii trying to drop Rainbows from June Jones era who successfully got us to Rainbow Warriors, then tried to push Hawaii Warriors only for football because rainbow was deemed to be a happy term, but no matter how hard he tried, we always revert back to calling our team Rainbows or 'bows for short. New AD Ben happy also tried to implement Warriors only but failed in his bid, citing confusion as his reason. We are already confused, football team in MWC and all the rest in athletic teams men and women in PCAA, I think it is. Men are Rainbow Warriors and women teams are Rainbow Wahine.

UCLA has also been known to sleepwalk through a lot of their early home OOC games. as it is, they have a very marginal HFA at the rose bowl, but it's even weaker in the first couple weeks since school isn't even in session yet. nevada's defense was quite poor LY which is a big concern, but if they hit +21' or better, i'll likely be on them for a unit.
