ridiculous comparison. kobe plays on a team & nadal plays an individual sport. furthermore, kobe was pushing his team to just make the playoffs so he could fake an injury to not look bad? surely you must be kidding.
i didn't watch the nadal match today, but i would imagine he did not prepare much for the grass courts after the French Open and it sounds like Darcis played at a very high level. Nadal should know not to take anyone lightly based on last year's wimbledon result (supposed injury aside) and his 1st two round matches on his beloved clay last month were no walks in the park. if his knees are the problem again this year, when did he get hurt? he certainly didn't seem injured a month ago & has played little since.

Congrats on your baby Espy. So I am an idiot for thinking Nadal and his handlers have him on a program? He is a cash cow to his handlers and his country, and he is protected by his country from any USA inquiry, and why would there be? Nothing proven, you nailed that on the head, that was tough. Just open your eyes son, and not the hero worship for a minute. His body has broken down more than anyone on ATP period. Jim Courier is more durable. The old guy Hewitt is a machine at his age. But Nadal, he has something over and over and poor performances steadily. Noting like the GOAT, a real honarable champion. But really it does not matter what I think, only the rest of the sports fed cows that kneel before Nadal.
