If you follow just do all plays to win 1 unit. Rarely play anything more than -150/-160
Personally I have terrible money management so I don't want to post "do this for 10 units, this for 5, etc" and screw anyone over who tails
Units are more important than W/L record in betting so you should be keeping track of them.
Both of your team total leans tomorrow are significantly juiced as have been most of your TT plays this year. If you go 1-1 on those two picks then you will be down $. Why not take jets -0.5 at +$ and turn them into a dog. If the Jets score 3 goals there is a very good chance that you will win the -0.5 bet. If they score 2 goals or less you will save some juice if they lose and they could still cover the -0.5.
With the San jose TT instead of laying -145 on the under, why not take Van -0.5 for +$. If the Sharks score 2 goals or less than you will have a very good chance of winning the -0.5 bet. If you go 1-1 playing this way you will show a profit instead of a loss.

Thanks I just only play what I'm confident in and avoid things over -170. I'm not here to showoff or brag I just use this site for feedback on plays and to keep track of my own record. If people would like me to keep track of units i'll start sure thing. Maybe when I have time i'll go back and calculate the past plays.

This back and forth is one of the pure things left on this site...honest on both sides...no anger...no digs...mature banter that helps everyone overall who takes a few to read. Thanks to you both CJ & Sharp.
And now for my humble opinion...
While I easily see both sides of your opinions, my outside view is this...respectfully (as a novice better in the NHL), with a win % like you have CJ, I see no need to worry about Sharp's view! I'm quite confident, as Ive tailed you a handful of times, that you would worry...break your trend..."cycle" if you will...if those kinda numbers weren't there ( 71+% YTD), no? But for someone like myself (who also admittedly sucks with my betting money management), seeing those two bets from Sharp's view is a new thought, and possible direction to gain better value in certain instances!
Units...dollars...whatever...keep these forums fresh like this and we all are to gain! Thanks again.

My initial leans when looking at tomorrows card were Habs and Jets. They are both playing well against teams that are just not keeping the puck out of their net or winning. My only concern was a montreal let down after the emotional game against the B's. Intend to look deeper at their schedule and get starting goalies but I may load up on one of these. I tend to be like you and bet one unit each game....but lately, I am getting much clearer reads and narrowing each day to one pick. The strongest play on your card IMHO is the Jets TT over but as Sharp mentioned it is very likely to be heavily juiced. I'll weigh the number with the ML and be on one of them. GL with your picks.

Thanks snakeyes i agree with you on the habs. They havent played well against NYI at all this year. Jets TT will have a lot of juice but I just can't see panthers keeping puck out of net. florida may put up 4 on jets themselves which is why i may play both and take the double risk here. I tend to lock in the TT's as soon as they come out because usually the juice skyrockets on plays like these

Couple of gents volleying a fine discussion; I agree units are much more indicative of pick strength if you're playing the odds and totals. That being said, there is no right or wrong way of publicizing predictions. Either way, it takes balls to take the stage. Good luck with your picks
