the heat will be going back to miami up 3-2 or for a parade imo so ill stay on them the next 2. miami's defense is just too good and they have to many stars on offense, its not rocket science. if it wasnt for the 6 minute collapse of game 2 when they packed it in they would probably have held their opponents to under 86 for 7 straight games which is insane. the refs did everything they could to help the mavs last night. that phantom call on haslem over the back was pretty funny with like 2 minutes left putting dirk at the line, among others. lebron not getting the call on the fake pump shot and leaning into the defender which is called 99% of the time. magic johnson summed it up pretty good, dallas played about as good as it could. dallas just doesnt have enough stars to match up with miami and their defense isnt as good as miami's. not to mention i love the way chalmers is playing which wont get talked about but is a huge addition to the big 3... anything they get out of him. dallas keeps falling behind if dirk doesnt match em shot for shot. peja is done, barrea cant score against this d, kidd will get you around 8 or 9, chandler cant score and then your left having to have good games from marion and terry.

about lost my mind when the refs have the balls to hand dirk 4 straight free throws then lebron gets marion in the air, he lands on his shoulder, and poof no call

heat are just too good
that ref was about a couple of feet away, and he "missed" the foul call. nba is practically, a joke in many instances.

So one should ignore the "foul" on Haslem where he fell down? Or the "push" on Wade when he went up for the board? Or the backcourt violation on the Chalmers 3? There were atrocious calls both ways, agreed, but to say that the Mavs got some extreme benefit is laughable. FT discrepancies don't tell the whole story.
And honestly, the Mavs played their best game? 2 games marked by horrendous, unforced errors. Not taking anything away from the Heat's D, but a lot of this is just carelessness by the Mavs for stretches, as evidenced by their ability to essentially turn it on whenever they're forced to.
The Heat might very well be the smart bet, I can't buy that the Mavs have played their best ball for an entire game.

BAD-- Totally agree with you bud. If Mavs won last ngiht, the ref would celebrate the win with them. It was so obvious. Lebron could've get at least 4 additional free throws. I don't see any of their games going over 186. Betting Heat and Under til the end. I'll double my bet on Heat on next game if they loses on Tuesday.

Hey Badlands, You wouldn't be saying this if Caron Butler was healthy? He is Dirk's help/other scorer. How would you analyze this series if Caron was healthy?

the mavs played the best they can play against this d, hows that? a lot of people still have visions of the mavs draining OPEN 3 after OPEN 3 against a dysfunctional lakers team that had quit by game 4 and that left a lasting impression and now still think that team is going to just show up against this d. or still have visions of barea going coast to coast against a thunder team that gave up a 100 ON AVG this year on d. it aint happening this series. i think dallas could steal one of these next 2 on a last possession type of game but thats it.
the foul calls are irrelevant. dallas will get more calls again, thats a fact. and im not surprised dallas got more calls thats what home court is but dirk is starting to flop like vlade divac out there. that half court shot we all had to watch in slow motion to see if it should have been back court. but again the refs are irrelevant, dallas will get the calls again and thats what will keep this one close till the end again imo.

Not sure we watched the same game. The open 3's for Dallas were aplenty, especially Game 3. The only one hitting them now is Dirk (as usual) and Kidd, at a decent clip. Barea's looks were open last night, he is simply not hitting them.
Simply not buying that the Mavs have played anything close to a "good" game. Certainly not when the unforced errors are occurring far too often. Hell, even Dirk threw the ball out of bounds with under a minute to go.

dont 4get about the 3 in the 1st q which was suppose to b a back court violation. too many turnovers.

coming into this series dallas had scored 103, 96, 93, 98, 122, 121, 100, 93, 112, and 100 their last 10 games. twice in this series they have been held in the 80's and needed 20 points the last 6 min of game 2 just to get to 95. everyone is making excuses about why dallas will play better and ignoring whats right in plain view. all of a sudden they stopped scoring this series and its a coincidence? of course some of their 3's are going to be open bro, every game every team will get open 3's against any defense, the difference is they are completely out of rhythm (eveyone except dirk i should say) and even when they are open they are looking over their back shoulders and really arent shooting with confidence. i dont know how else to explain it, anyone who has played ball at any level knows what i mean.

im feeling the same way about most of these things. i think too many people are just thinking dallas has had a few bad games... they are not seeing that its been because of miami's smothering defense. The heat are much more athletic/fast and are able to use it to throw dallas out of rythm. YES dallas has missed some open shots but its because their rhythm/shooting confidence has been taken away by miamis defense.

Bosh is shooting 16-52 (30%) for series. If he gets out of this slump, Mavs would really be in trouble. Most of his shots have been open and I'm thinking his game-winning shot will give him confidence for G4.

poster with an agenda. maybe one more exclamation point and I would understand what you mean. I like to watch the game with my eyes closed, so what?
