Another thing. Andersen wasn't fired. He quit on his team because they were so bad. Think about that. He said if he couldn't win in Corvallis he would walk, and he did. $12.3MM to stay and coach, or $0 to walk away and he chose to walk away!!! That situation was so bad, he gave up $12.3MM to get out. They have no QB, no o-line, and a piss poor defense. The assistant coaches all hate each other. Come on man. Do some homework.

my apologies apparently they " mutually agreed to part ways" .. regardless the Beavers will give a big effort this week .. and trust me thats not public money dropping this line on Oregon State this early in the week

I don't see how having your head coach quit gives you any advantage. Colorado has lost 3 in a row and they desperately need a big win. They are a far superior team to Oregon State despite the 3 losses.

I agree with you guys that Oregon State sucks, but bmiller is right about one thing. The line is dropping because someone is putting a lot of money right now on Oregon State. It may not mean a thing at the end of this game, but they are getting money for some reason at the moment.
I love Colorado here, but it is definitely strange to see this line going the other way. I may have to take another look at this one.

I took Colorado -12.5....Will have to double down on it if it gets to 10 ...I thought for sure this would be headed to 14+ by kick off.
I don't buy the fired coach notion for this game. The coach quit on the program...I think it is more indicative of a program in 'free fall' than a rallying point. The only angle I can see for OSU is that this is possibly a look ahead game for CU with @ WAZU on deck. But, I think this is more of a 'get right' game for CU after 3 losses (2 tough/close losses) than anything else. They are the more talented team with a bowl game to play for -- they know they have to win this game to have a shot at that.
What has Oregon State done to garner betting support here according to the numbers? Lost to CSU, MINN, WAZU, UW and USC by an average of 31.4ppg (CU beat CSU by 14). And they only beat Portland St. by 3 and giving up 35 to them. They don't have more than 354 yards in a game against big 5 school this year and have let up an avg of 500 ypg to those teams.
I just dont see it.....But, anything can happen in between the lines.

Oregon St is putting the 12 million they didn't have to pay the coach on their team. The money was already budgeted and they need to double it to pay for the next coach.

The most important item taken out of Anderson's emails that were leaked is he commented not just how bad his assistants were coaching the kids but how their recruiting players has been horrible. So know matter how much you want to factor in the change of coach rallying cry theres just know talent on this team. They haven't played one competitive game this year.

Plenty of doubters in this thread mainly because Oregon St "is awful and sucks" but Oregon St + 11.5 was never in doubt infact they could have easily won the game straight up .. let this game be a lesson any team that has looked awful before can compete with any team when emotionally motivated
