Last week's ML parlay got bounced pretty quick, so I will likely get back to trying another 2 game parlay this week with my POW and Totals POW... for now some thoughts and some leans:
It's funny to think at the start of the season when Auburn lost that matchup to Clemson how so many were calling for Malzahn's head which appears to be an overreaction at this point, only time will tell how good this Auburn team really is... certainly should be good enough to get the job down against the Tigers this week.
I'm also really impressed with Notre Dame so far this season, they look the part and have really progressed after that narrow loss to Georgia which in hindsight may show just how good of a team they are considering Georgia at the moment may be one of the best 4 in the country.
Not sure if the folks up in Washington are getting enough love, the huskies were a playoff team a year ago and I think at this point should be considered a reliable force going forward and with so many still unsure of just how good Wash St really is, I think the Huskies are the top team coming out of the Pac which lands them right back into the top 4.
Arguing who is better between Alabama and Georgia at this point is silly, as the case is with most of the juggernauts of the SEC, come December when the Conference Championship (and possibly National Championship) will be decided in Atlanta (if both teams make it) will give you a good measuring stick
on to the picks:
Thursday - 10/12 Locked in $220
ULL - 14.5 Texas State This reminds me of when you are on the highway and you check your rear view for any state police, seeing none and knowing the coast is clear, you ref that baby up accelerating over 70 and just when you hit the stride you look up at BAM there he is, the lights flicker on and well you know the drill da-mmit.
Bad spot here for Texas State sandwiched between two top notch offenses with almost identical schemes. Deja Vu. I can't see the Bobcats D getting pumped up to go out to another offensive slaughterhouse just to lay another 50 on the board and that Offense knowing it will need to produce on a Defense that has been porous but showed last week against Idaho that it is capable of better.
I'll continue to add as I go, but will likely be another small card for me this week

NC St - 12.5 Pittsburgh $220 The Wolfpack are setting themselves up to be a legitamite contender in the ACC and have impressed thus far this season. With a stout line and consistent offensive production, I see them dominating the time of possession in this one. Add in a few turnovers to shorten the field, and this one shouldn't be too close. 31-14
Auburn - 6.5 LSU $440 This comes as no suprise, and you would be hard pressed to find many backing the Tigers at this value. I won't set this as my POW because I know a lot of folks on here have solid write ups, so I will look elsewhere for my POW, but this does warrant a big wager from me. Auburn the far superior team on both sides of the ball and with the young, inexperienced, and undisciplined squad, LSU won't be able to stick around come the final whistle. Tigers give it all they have but come up short 38-20

Also with you on ULL but for some reason ULL game line is suspended for me and I can't place my bet. Assuming there are injuries? Any idea or cause for concern?
How are you feeling about the NYY/CLE game tonight? I think Sevy shuts it down - he is too good to pitch horribly in 2 consec big spots....And, Bauer vs same lineup 4 days a part could be trouble. Yankees were impatient and jumpy against him in gm 1 -- easy adjustment. The middle of the order for the Yanks is waiting to explode.

Army - 5 Eastern Michigan $330 Eastern Michigan was a major catalyst in ruining my Totals Pick of the Week on Saturday and if I would have done a little more research I would have tried looking elsewhere after noticing the trend with all of their games this season is this: low scoring ball games. In fact, the Eagles have mustered 20+ points in only one match-up this season against lowly Charlotte. When faced against another option running attack in Ohio Bobcats, the Eagles lost that match-up 27-20. The Black Knights will be relentless come Saturday, rushing and rushing and rushing some more. I'm not too concerned with their defense here because I believe they will have a stranglehold on the time of possession and not only converting that into points for the Knights but also lack of drives for the Eagles. Given the number of possessions available combined with the lack-luster offensive production thus far, the Eagles will have their work cut out for them. Laying less than a TD here for me is a no brainer. 34-13

GL
I haven't seen or heard anything that would give me pause for concern with the Cajuns, might have to check around though that seems odd
Good points on the Yanks, yeah I like Bauer a lot, but coming off his best outing of his postseason career and asked to do the same is hard pressed.
My money would be on the Yanks - 154 and Cleveland over 3

Fade material perhaps but seeing how Bronco has these boys coached up and with the way the Cavs offense has been this season, I will take the points here over whatever the Tar Heels will try and muster up come Saturday. Line should be a TD worth IMO 24-16

I think Eastern Michigan matches up great against Army E.Michigan is a well balanced team they have Had a really tough schedule I see them covering and wouldn't be surprised if they win out right their run defense can make enough stops against Army's triple option attack.

Wizard - interesting input brother, always like to hear from someone in the other camp. Spoke with a friend earlier after making the pick and he expressed similar concerns, saying the Eagles have been consistent thus far and above average definsively.
I think they are better suited against passing attacks like one they saw against Toledo. Did a tremendous job shutting that one to under 28 points, however Toledo had some missed opportunities, failed to score on opening possesion and lost top WR for season in game.
Army played as well last week as they have done all season, the better team on the football team Saturday and will have a game plan. You know what you will get with the Black Knights and I think they have turn those red zone opportunities into TD's not FG's. The die has been cast my friend, wishing you the best this weekend

What you guys think about NC State -12 vs Pitt I am leaning NC State I was really impressed with them in their game against Louisville they are solid on offense defense and special teams, Pitt is not a good team but they night can cover at home

YesIKnow, haven't read much on the Memphis and Temple matchups but I'm a little worried about Miami in this spot, lost their RB for the season. I'm worried they won't get enough seperation from the Yellow Jackets and may have to play from behind early. Could be a 27-21 kind of game or who knows they could come to play and blow them out but it's a safe no bet from me... wishing you luck on it and the others, should be a fun one to watch
Wiz I like NCst in this one, too me I'm not sure what kind of Pitt team will show up but I'm darn confident that the same NCst team who has been handling mid to upper level competition can improve their record here and move past the Panthers with another all around solid performance... this team has something to play for this season and they'll be focused saturday

Houston vs Tulsa Over 64 Tulsa back to solid foods again this week after facing three consecutive running teams with the absolute worst run defense in country... boy has their season turned into a dumpster fire really quickly
Washington - 17.5 vs Arizona State Hard pressed not to back the team that has been running through the PAC 12 and should decompose the bottom feeders of this conference. Seems each week Vegas is putting up big lines for this Husky team to amount too and they crush it every time, I expect the trend to continue this week.

Adding some late action, again only half unit wagers ($50): Tulane vs FIU Over 50 The green wave have been on a scoring tear of late and I would like to see this offense put up some big numbers while giving up a few big plays to get this over quite nicely. 41-20
Tennessee -3.5 South Carolina Can the Vols lay 2 duds at home coming off a bye week with what would certainly be the hook in the mouth concerning Butch's career? I'm hoping they muster up and come to play, expect huge game for #423-17

Like Huskies too. Haven't jumped yet...hoping to get it at -17 or less.
ULL Congrats
Hope that one works for you brother... I know UCONN is god awful but -17 points gives me pause for concern, no way jose can I back the huskies, so it's a good no play for me.
As always thanks for stopping by and adding your input and plays

I'm talking about Washington Huskies...I see your on them and they were one of my maybe's from earlier this week, but the line has gone up. Waiting to jump if it goes back to 17 or lower.
