Not ideal throwing him in there considering our offense isn't much but I feel he gives the bears the best chance to at least be competitive. Loggins will be fighting for his job in that he better put Trubisky is manageable situations and mold the playbook to his strengths. I like that he's playing now because as crazy as this is to say, there are a good amount of very good qb prospects coming out next year and I'd like to see what we got now in case we need to grab one of those. At this point, if you ain't got a qb, you ain't winning in this league. I'm pulling for the kid.

So the line was +3.5 Bears before the QB change. It's been off the board since.
Where do you guys see it re opening at?
I'm thinking players get up for the kid. It's primetime any way, motivation will be high, team will be rested. This Bears team came 2 drops away from beating the Falcons at home, and beat Pitt at home.
I'm keeping an eye out for the line. +4.5 or better might just constitute a big play.

I hope he does good,im not sure I would take the chance,of throwing him into a situation he cant handle yet,and messing with his confidence. But either way, there aint no way the Bears are taking another QB high in the draft next year.
Good luck kid,its encourageing that a lot of QBs taken high in the draft are starting to excel, its about time the Bears have a star QB playing for the team, they aint never had one in my lifetime, and I was born in the 60s.

He can't do any worse than Glennon and I bet he makes 3 or 4 plays that Glennon has no chance of making so ill take it. Lets pound the ball and use play action and get him outside and let him sling it

I would have waited until the Saints or 2nd Packers game. Don't like the idea of throwing him out there primetime against the Vikings. If they wait until NO he goes up against their sh.it def and then GB and Det. Much easier opposition then Min, Bal, and Car.

bears or nothing for me. home team 21-8 against the spread and the bears get an extra 2.5 days of rest after getting blown out agains the pack, the public's last image of them is they are beyond terrible
guessing the line is out because of bradford they already know the qb status for the bears

Vikings fan here, and I have seen this movie before. Bears win big, no points will be needed. Tuesday morning we will all be talking about Trubisky as the next coming of Joe Montana.

Thoughts?
I think the Vikings are in trouble here. QB is a question mark and now the running game is a big question. The Bears D is not great but is improved and good enough. The kid doesn't have to do a lot to out score the Vikings in this one.
The Bears disappoint in a lot of games, but this is one that takes the expectation to a level so the future disappointment occurs.
Line value the Bears were +6.5 in week one against the Falcons and yet they are still going to be getting +3 or more here? Against Latavius Murray and a bottom tier QB (who ever starts). 10 days to get ready also ?
I like the Bears chances here.
Nothing is ever in the bank until it is in the bank

Straight up on the games if I take out the games where they are big dogs of greater than 9.5 AND take out the games where they are favorites. 10-4 Straight up.

As I dissect this move, I think it's the best spot. Chicago is having a lot of issues getting butts in the seats. This solves that. As bad as Chicago fans can be, I sense excitement and a healthy anxiety in the air with this kid. As for coaching, Fox's job is on the line and even though I feel he's gone, it's a shot in the arm to his tenure as coach THIS YEAR. Also, even though I feel Ryan Pace is not the right GM and screwed up royally with this team, this move directly affects his job. He's got one more year and if trubisky pans out, he's safe. As for trubisky, this kid is mobile. He can extend plays and from what I've seen and yes it was only the preseason, he progresses through his reads pretty well. Obviously that will be a lot tougher with a good defense coming at him but I think with no tape on him, he could be sneaky good Monday nite. You know the Vikings will key in on the run so I'm expecting the bears and loggins to open it up. Home crowd, nothing to lose and all to gain. My only worry is that loggins isn't able to mold the playbook to cater to trubisky. I don't like loggins and I worry that with him most likely out next year, trubisky will have to learn multiple play books immediately. Keeping it simple is key.
Word is that the PLAYERS are the ones who asked for this change. If that is indeed accurate I love it! Smart move on their part in that I feel the players had no trust in Glennon. The Bears are close in that the defense has played well, the running game is above average and special teams has been better than previous recent years. We just need some receivers. Well....maybe we'll see some rise to the top with trubisky able to extend plays. I'm not expecting a ton from this kid Monday but if he can be turnover free, ya never know. Bears fan want nothing more than to have a franchise qb and I feel this is a win-win. You play him now, see what you got and if he pans out, great! IF any questions or concerns arise with the body of work he completes in 12 games, you got some very good qbs coming out next year. As crazy as people think I am, bears can't afford to sit around so the hope is that trubisky is the real deal, if not, we pull a Browns and draft another one next year. At this point, nothing should be off the table.

I can assure you of one thing, this kid is the real deal, we'll know Sunday...excellent read, take care, and take the Bears +3 (the game is back on the SuperBook LV board)

Agreed on all angles. I just can't wait until these guys turn this crap around. i haven't turned on a bears game in a few years. they're unbearable, no pun intended. if trubisky isn't everything the bears had a wet dream over, someone's getting fired come offseason
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

Line back to 3.5...where it originally began with Glennon penciled in.
I haven't looked at any bet%'s, but I'd think the Books are swimming in Vikings $. And they were the ones who dropped the line to 2 when the qb change happened.
Just food for thought. I haven't capped the game, just gonna watch.
