Goodluck today pix. Always enjoy your insight and reasoning. That's a hard thing to find on covers now and days. I remember years ago when almost every did a write up. Your of the old school and I like it.

I went to UConn...I'm a huge fan. When I first saw that line I also thought Nova was a gift. But since then I'm either over thinking it or just caught up in the moment of March Madness because I'm starting to think they have a chance. There's no way I'm betting against my own team so if you do lay a wager, one of us wins :)

When the seeding was released I focused on two teams: Louisville and Iowa state.
While Iowa state looked solid last night, Louisville was very lacklucker for bettors in their first game against Manhattan. There is two ways to look at Louisville today: Overrated and not as good as advertised or played up to their competition. I live in Conn and have seen them play Uconn three times this year. While Uconn beat the likes of Cincy, Memphis and Florida, they had no answer for this team. They lost all three games against them by double digits. This is due to size and depth coupled with athletic ability. It didn't matter what Napier scored they just didn't have enough to stop them from scoring. Now let's look at Manhattan. They came in with a resume boasting a 77 pt per game, but more importantly in 32 games they just had one loss by double digits. They cut and drive, rebound well and have depth. They rebound surprisingly well and shot a very high percentage of 45% keeping them in the game. It wasn't that Louisville was going through the motion or underestimating them, this manhattan team was extremely tough. Louisville had several looks under the baskets that just didn't bounce their way, yet they still won by 7 pts when the dust settled.
I can honestly say I have never seen Saint Louis play and I respect their record. However, let's look at their competition: VCU -- ousted by SF austin ; Dayton -- 1 pt squeaker against a severely flawed ohio state team ; St joes -- ousted by uconn in OT when they had a 10 point lead in the game and a 3 pt lead with less than a min left. Can't get too excited by any of these teams. I realize ST Lou played Wisky tough and Wichita tough.....they also lost the Bonnies and Duqesnes.
I feel that Lou comes out with a purpose and focus that they didn't have in the first game and the lack of offense, last 10 games they played that didn't go into OT they averaged 64 pts, and the lack of competition will be too overwhelming for them to overcome.

GL Pix! Followed ya quite a few times but just started posting recently. I have Louisville -3 in a teaser other than that I'm waiting for half to make a play. What'd ya think about SDSU tonight?
