USC's loss last week has Kiffin on the hot seat awfully early this year and he needs to right the ship quickly. What I saw in that game was a really good SC defense that held WS to just 7 yards rushing for the game and a struggling offense that had just 193 yards and couldn't convert a 3rd down to save their life. If SC can get some solid play out of the QB spot I think BC's offense struggles to move the ball in this one. Speaking of struggles, that's what BC does typically in road openers as they have dropped 5 straight ats and 6 in a row overall on the road.
ALABAMA -7 (hook)
We are going to learn alot about Johnny Football in this one. I must say I'm not a true believer in the kid but if he wins against this defense I'll most certainly change my mind. I see no way A&M can run on this Bama defense so I think JF will have to beat them throwing the football. Saban has had an extra week to get his boys ready for Johnny and unlike the last time they played they are going to get to him and when they do they are gonna hit him HARD. I look for Bama to line up on offense and pound the ball right at the soft A&M defense that gave up an average of 30 ppg to the likes of SHSU and Rice! It should be a good one but I look for Bama to pull away and ultimately improve to 8-2 ats their last 10 as road favorites. Bama is used to the Big game atmosphere which is good because this stadium will be electric!
KANSAS +7 (hook)
I'm a Big 12 guy and no way am I passing this up as ugly as it may be.Huge line movement here as Rice opened as a two point favorite. I'm not sure Ive ever seen Rice as this big of a favorite Lol...This team is like 1-20 su against the Big 12 and laying a TD? I can't get there and will just take my chances the suck a s s Jayhawks get me and the other 3 people in the world that bet them this week to the pay window.
AUBURN -6
Aubbie won for me last week in blowout fashion and I'll try them again here. There's no doubt new HC Gus Malzahn has his boys playing well and although its early maybe has this program heading in the right direction again. The home team has covered 4 of the last 5 and I'm siding with Gus to send the Bulldogs to 0-7 ats on the road.

Tree, I always value your opinions and always check your card before entering my plays but I liked what I saw from Rice vs A&M. Kansas was unimpressive in their 3 point win over UC Davis. I think Rice wins by double digits. In any event I wish you continued success and look forward to your plays in the future. BOL
