ck - your logic on A&M intrigues me. A lot of people believe that Rice has the O and A&M the lack of consistent D to at least cover this spread. 35-0 at the half...that's wishful thinking. Rice is not NM St or FIU, or FAU, they are somewhat respectable and ranked in the 70-85 range among 126 D1 teams. Rice D won't stop and maybe won't even slow down A&M, but they did win their bowl game last year. I see a 45 to 24 type game. No play for me, but good luck...
I like FSU with Carr et al. They will miss Rouse, but I think Dereuter will lead them. I really like FSU at Colorado in week 3. I think the spread will be no more than 14. I think Fresno will dominate. For week 1, its wait and see, but I think you may be on to something with regard to Rutgers being down, at least early in the season.
With regard to Miami, the O will role, and the D will be better. FAU will be starting a new QB. 31 seems like a lot to me for a team like Miami that was so young and inconsistent on D last year. FAU has Pellini. They will not quit, which makes the back door cover a possibility. I am thinking 52 to 10 here, which would imply that I agree with you. But, you should do some additional research on that Miami D.
