It's absolutely ludicrous how much razors cost so I started searching around for an alternative... Couldn't find too much as Gilette has a pretty tight grip on the market but I did find this offer:
https://prelaunch.harrys.com/?ref=c4971abfc7
It's a new company that's trying to eliminate the high costs and bullshit, and just sell good quality razors. Anyways, to save on marketing costs, they're doing this referral thing where you can get free stuff (including free razors for a year!)
So just sign up with your email and then tell your buddys! Simple as that!

Never found an electric razor that was worth a shitt. Since I have a goatee, I prefer to shave with a razor blade.
Here's the really baffling part about this from my experiences. You can come across several razors that give you two or three decent shaves and then you send them to razor hell. Once in a while you will score a Super-Razor. We're talking a blade that can take you through seven, eight, nine, ten superior shaves in a row. No consistency whatsoever. Yer pays yer money and yer takes yer chances. Also, give me some quality sensitive gel shave cream and I get even money to escape the scar cut.

Seriously, as mentioned invest in an electric shaver. NOT THE ONES YOU FIND AT TARGET for $24.99. If you get a top of the line electric shaver for near $100 or over $100, you will get a close shave. Cost does matter when it comes to electric shavers. It's worth the money and the pain.

Myself, I think it's hilarious that some people buy into the latest greatest blade. No offense if you do, seriously. I do a lot of weird things. I've been using the Sensor Excels for years and they work just fine.
That said, this is a great thread. Thank you... I'm going to check this link out for sure.

And why are they so expensive? It's ridiculous. I have seen my razors on Ebay for a lot less. I found 100 Excel blades for $100. They average right around $2.20 each I think in most stores.

Sensor Excel for me, as well...... I've tried others. Excel just seems to be the best for me. Prices on these cartridges have gone up so much over the years, it is almost laughable. I've tried the store brand knock offs that fit the handle, no good. Over $20 for a 10 pack of blades. F'n B.S.
The most f'ed up part about it all is they actually lock them up now. I have to ask an employee to actually unlock the case to get them....

Checked into that Dollar Shave Club; rip'off. I'm getting a 52 ct at Sams Club for $23.98, 2 blade excel. DSC touts this dollar a month for 4 cartriges sent to you monthly, but you pay for shipping. They really push the "we'll send'em, so you won't forget" approach.

Here's a tip on making those blades last a long time. What dulls them out is moisture. Either spray "Pam" cooking spray on the blade or soak the blade in vodka when not in use. Do a search on this.. It really works. I'm sure the blade companies can come up with a blade that lasts 10 times as long as they do by coating the surface. Obviously, it is in their best interest to have them become dull.
