Please excuse the early post but I just love the lines that popped up for Copa Sudamericana tomorrow night ... LIKE REALLY LOVE.
Ecuador Chile
Chile lost a shocker to Paraguay on Sunday . . . 1-3 . . . Chile will not let that happen again . . . they will come out firing like a freight train . . . Ecuador has been hitting the mark too in this tourney . . . meanwhile, both teams concede . . . this looks too easy . . . but I'm all over it.
Ecuador/Chile o/2.5 (-121) 3 units
Chile ML -111 4 units
Peru Paraguay
Paraguay is on fire when it comes to scoring goals . . . freaking on fire. They sit at the top of the standings after the first match after totally shocking the heck out of Chile in the first match of the Final Group phase . . . check out there last 5 score lines, most recent to oldest:
Para win v. Chile 3-1
Para win v. Boliva 5-1
Para loss to Chile 2-3
Para win v. Argentina 2-1
Para loss to Colombia 0-1 in the first game of the tourney. . .
Peru meanwhile has not been shut out in any game of this tourney ... they drew Uruguay 3-3 . . .and beat Brazil 2-0 . . . while some of the shine appears to occassionally come off the vine, the fact is that they have scored against a team (uruguay) that plays up tempo akin to Chile's high octane offensive matches.
I'm all over the over.
Peru/Paraguay o/2.5 (-124)
Colombia Uruguay
Uruguay sits tied with Paraguay at the top of the Final Group after one match . . . Uruguay doesn't have a low gear . . . it scores, plain and simple . . . consider its scores lines from the most recent to oldest in this tourney. . .
1-3 win over Peru
2-2 draw with Venuezuela
2-2 draw with Ecuador
2-3 win over Brazil
3-3 draw with Peru . . .
So - they score AND they concede ... consistent with the coach's comments I posted at the beginning of the tourney ... "we have a strong offense but our defense is prone to lapses in judgment . . .our offense must overcome that" ... paraphrasing . . .
Colombia has impressed too in this tourney . . .consider its scorelines . . .recent to oldest . . .
2-1 win over Ecuador
3-2 loss to Argentina
6-0 win over Bolivia
2-1 loss to Chile
1-0 win over Paraguay
Colombia/Uruguay o/2.5 (-119) 5 units
I haven't read team news or anything like that so shame on me if I get hammred but I wanted to lock these in NOW. I will take my chances as I just don't see how these (a) don't have a great shot at hitting and (b) don't go up in price.
I looked at the historical trends from the 2011, 2009 and 2007 tourneys ... this entire tourney has looked more like 2009 and 2007 due to the teams in the mix much more so than the 2011 final stage . . . 2009 and 2007 strongly suggest that teams of these combinations don't park the bus . . .
