At home with playoffs lingering and a spot on the line, and they can't control a game against the Spurs B team. I know the Spurs have a deeper team than most, but I expected a much better effort than this.

I wasn't expecting a blowout. Just around a comfortable 8 point win for the Jazz. Thought they would come out on fire and put it to the Spurs early on, but they did the opposite.

Betting the Jazz tonight screamed degenerate...sure they still might cover, but it wasn't worth the risk. Too many people focusing on the big 3 for the Spurs being out, but not taking into account that the Jazz are as banged up as anyone with 4 legit rotation guys out and 2 more playing hurt/sick on a b2b.
I couldn't be comfortable putting money on a struggling Jazz team who is going to rely on Demarr Carroll, Alex Burks, and Jamaal Tinsley as depth vs a Spurs team that is relying on Jackson, Diaw, and Blair for depth. A couple of those guys are starters on most teams and a couple are lucky to still be in the league.

gonz312 - great LATE insight = i am sure you pointed out y the giants and under was the only play in the super bowl 3 days after the big game!
Not so late, people just don't pay much attention to other threads. All these were early this morning.
But even then, the Jazz are banged up like no other right now, losing both Miles and Watson last night to add to Howard and Bell. I would expect the game to be alot closer and more of a toss up but I doubt Carroll has the same type of game he had again and Harris has a bum ankle that will likely give him a little trouble on a back to back. It would be hard to bet on Utah in the state they are in even if they are going up against an SA team missing a couple of pieces.

[QUOTE=Gonz312;14395130]The jazz are banged up, even without the big 3, I think there is a huge risk taking utah. Spurs bench dominated the Jazz in the 2nd qtr yesterday, I would take their depth more times than not against a Jazz team with a short bench to non existent bench. Harris is playing hurt and that ankle cant be feeling good on a b2b. If your betting on the likes of demar carroll, alex burks, and jamall tinsley...you are probably over thinking it a bit. Jefferson and Hayward cant carry them alone and Millsap still seemed to be under the weather last night. Seems like a no play to me
[QUOTE=Gonz312;14395174]True but putting money on a utah team missing 4 key players themselves seems like some people are just overthinking things a bit. Save your money and bet on another game imo

Degenerate? Do you even know what the hell you are talking about? It was a spot play with the Jazz coming back home against a team that just beat them the night before, and was resting their starters. A degenerate play is playing the last game of the night on the board or a day game just because you want action on it.

A healthy Jazz team = spot play
THIS Jazz team = bobbing for apples
try telling yourself this was the easiest game on the board if they cover despite sweating it for 48 minutes.
