or is it safe to assume that the Saints are going to be gift-wrapped a "Katrina relief fund"?

yea... i am not one to pump fixes or conspiracies at all... but that game between the Saints and Vikings was the biggest fucking farse i have ever watched...
there is no way you can watch that game and not know the NFL is complete bullshit... if you were to legitimately play out the NFC side of the playoffs 100 times, i doubt the Saints would come out of the NFC more than 5 times...
yea... nice try NFL... you don't fool me...

first of all... your defense had a very clear strategy... hit Favre as much as possible, no matter how late the shots are... that was shockingly despicable, and the fact the refs kept turning a blind eye to it was very telling... you call that physical, i don't... physical is when you get to him before he throws it, when you dominate the line of scrimmage... that sort of thing... Saints didn't do any of that...
but like i said... you have nothing to worry about... if this game were going to be played straight up, the Colts would win, and would win easily...
but it isn't going to be legit... i have no doubt in my mind...

i have a new strategy as a fan of the NFL...
i am going to root for the city of Miami to get wiped out by a hurricane next year, so that the NFL will give my team a mercy Super Bowl win...
go hurricane!

i hope you're right! not because i will have money on it... but because i will at least know that the game was for real if that happens... if anything else happens, i know for sure it is bullshit...

Don't know about a blow out but the no scratch on the helmet will probably true. The Jets number 1 defence got to Peyton a couple of times but once they got the blitz schemes figured out they didn't come close to him the rest of he game. Colts win the SB the best QB in the league will find a way to get it done even if they go down by a touch down or two.

Dude hide what you had 6 fukn turn overs, hello try and hold on to the ball and you might get some where. Now you have to go back and deal with TSLACK.

yea i've been talking about this in the NBA for a long time... always thought the NFL was too hard to fix... but when there is enough money, anything can be done...

wow.... hope the fixing talk is toungue in cheek
vikings aren't the first team to turn the ball over and cost themselves the game.... if they don't fumble on the goal line at the end of the first half of middle 4th quarter, then throw a pick near fg range there is no "fixing" talk....
never heard something so rediculous....

Our defense was stellar yesterday, maybe your coaches teach AD how to hold the ball.

dude... stop right there! i lost no money on this game, since i won my 2-team teaser, and i had less than 1/2 unit bet on the Vikes ML... AND i do not like the Vikings any more than the Saints...
so do not make this about either 1) me losing a small bet or 2) being heartbroken about a team losing...
i am not emotional here... i know what i see, i can size up the situation and the money involved and see what is going on...
the gambling industry, especially oversees, involves more money than any of us can even conceive of... the overall amount of cashflow involved might be more than the New York stock exchange... the amount of money to be had is too enormous for greedy humans, with the ability to manipulate it, to pass up...

yea... somewhat... the title of the thread is clearly tongue in cheek...
i mean, how long of a discussion would this even take if it weren't for the concern about refs and Katrina and who the fuck knows what else?
1) the Colts are much much better
2) Colts have a much better coach
3) Colts have a much better QB
4) Colts have a much better defense
seriously... we will spend 2 weeks not disussing ANY of those 4 points above... we will instead spend the next 2 weeks talking about "public money" and "line movement" and everything else...
and i'm starting to think that is justified... which is fucked up!

i thought it was possible, but i predicted a Colts-Vikings SB... you shouldn't attribute statements randomly to people though...
