Winter storm could interfere with Ole Miss-La Salle

A winter storm is moving into the Kansas City, Missouri area that could intervene with the La Salle-Ole Miss third-round NCAA tourney matchup Sunday night.

A wintry blast is expected to dump two to four inches of snow Saturday night and another four inches of the white stuff could fall by tipoff Sunday.

Dan Gavitt, the NCAA's vice president of men's basketball championships, said no game delays are anticipated.

All of the teams and officials are already onsite but the storm could alter travel plans Sunday night and force all parties involved to stay an extra night in Kansas City.
