Oddsmakers are banking on the NBA Finals' 2-3-2 format to work in favor of the Miami Heat, setting the defending champs as -130 favorites to win the NBA title despite trailing the San Antonio Spurs 3-2 with the series coming back to South Beach for Game 6 Tuesday.
San Antonio won two of the three games at home, including a 114-104 victory as a 1-point home underdog in Game 5 Sunday. Books have the Spurs priced as +110 series underdogs and set as 7-point road pups for Tuesday’s Game 6 – the largest spread of the finals.
Zig-Zag bettors (betting on the team coming off a loss) continue to show profits in the NBA Finals. Following San Antonio’s Game 1 win, the teams have alternated wins and losses SU and ATS heading into Game 6. Zig-Zag theorist will be looking to play Miami -7 this Tuesday.
The Heat have also shown composure following a loss, winning and covering in 12 straight games coming off a defeat, a streak going back to January 8 and 10 - the last time they lost back-to-back games.
The total for Game 6 opened at 190.5. The Spurs and Heat played under the number in the first two games of the series but have now topped the total in three straight heading into Tuesday’s game.
