EPL betting: QPR favorite to win promotion back to top tier

Jul 14, 2013 |
The freshly-relegated Queen's Park Rangers lead the pack at +188 to be promoted back to the Barclay's Premier League.

Relegation to the Championship was the cherry on top of an atrocious season for the London club, who were Premier League new boys two seasons ago after winning promotion out of the Championship in 2011.

The top two sides at the end of the Championship season automatically gain promotion to the Premier League. The next four clubs have a playoff and the last team standing earns the final place in the top tier of English Football.

Here is a list of odds from Bet365 for all 24 clubs in the 2013/14 season of the Championship:

* QPR, Reading and Wigan were the three clubs relegated from the Premier League last season.

* Watford (+333) finished third in the table, while Brighton (+450) was fourth and Leicester (+400) finished sixth. Cyrstal Palace, who finished fifth, won the playoff and was the third club to be promoted.

* The three new clubs in the Championship are Bournemouth (+700), Doncaster (+2000) and Yeovil (+5000). Doncaster was League 1 champion last season.

* Two of the previous three seasons have seen clubs that have made the jump from League 1 to the Championship, achieve promotion to the Premier League in its first attempt: Norwich in 2011 and Southampton in 2012.
