The Vancouver Canucks announced Thursday center Ryan Kesler has been medically cleared to return to playing and could suit up Friday night versus the Dallas Stars.

The Canucks are early -191 favorites at BetOnline with the O/U set at 5 when they host the Stars at Rogers Arena.

Vancouver sits atop the Northwest standings with an 8-2-2 record and is 5-7 on the puckline. The Canucks have also been an great under play with a 2-8-2 O/U mark.

Kesler, a former Selke Trophy winner for his exceptional defensive play, has yet to suit up this season following offseason surgeries on his shoulder and wrist.

The 28-year-old had 22 goals and 49 points in 77 games last season.
