Knicks' Anthony suspended for Thurs. tilt with Pacers

Jan 9, 2013 |
New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has been suspended by the league for one game without pay for his altercation with forward Kevin Garnett following Monday night’s game with the Boston Celtics.

Anthony will serve the brief suspension Thursday night when the Knicks visit the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers are 4.5-point favorites and the total is being held off the board as of Thursday morning.

The Pacers boast the second-best defense in the Association (89.5 PPG), a factor oddsmakers will surely take into consideration with New York’s top scorer sidelined.

Anthony is averaging 29 points and six rebounds in 28 games this season.
