Florida State worth a look before Andrew Wiggins' decision

May 13, 2013 |
College basketball’s top recruit, Andrew Wiggins, is expected to announce which school he’ll attend this upcoming season Tuesday.

Wiggins, who has narrowed his choices down to Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas and Florida State, is predicted to be an instant-impact player and could potentially lead any of those contending programs to the NCAA tournament and beyond.

CBS Sports’ college hoops blogger Jeff Borzello compiled a list of predictions from their top analysts – Jeff Goodman, Gary Parish and Matt Norlander – and all three tabbed Florida State as the frontrunner due to its family ties to Wiggins, whose father and mother are both former Seminole standouts.

With that information in mind, savvy NCAAB bettors may want to take a flyer on Florida State’s long odds (+6,600) to win the national title. If Wiggins is as good as they say, the 6-foot-8 Canadian product could have the Noles paying out big come March Madness.

Here are the odds to win the NCAA tournament for each of Wiggins' potential destinations:

Kentucky Wildcats +500
North Carolina Tar Heels +1,800
Kansas Jayhawks +3,300
Florida State Seminoles +6,600
