Where the action is: Sharps, public differ on Falcons-Lions

Dec 22, 2012 |
Sharp bettors and public money are taking opposite sides of tonight’s Saturday night matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions.

The Falcons opened as 3-point road favorites and have since moved as high as -4.5. According to oddsmakers at BetSDI.eu, the public push has Atlanta dominating in bet count at a 5-to-1 ratio but sharp money jumped on the discounted home team, moving the spread towards its original opener.

“Sharps are backing Detroit heavily at +4, pushing the line to its current value +3.5 with sharps still backing the Lions at that value as well,” BetSDI told Covers. “The public money does outweigh the sharp money in this game as well.”

The total opened at 51 points for this standalone matchup and has dropped to as low as 50 as of Saturday afternoon.
