Where the action is: Early action on Nets in Game 7

May 4, 2013 |
There is only one NBA playoff game on the basketball board tonight, with the Brooklyn Nets trying to come back from a 1-3 hole versus the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. We talk to sportsbooks about the betting action heading into tonight’s 8 p.m. ET tipoff.

Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets
– Open: -6.5, Move: -7

The Nets take a ton of momentum in Game 7 Saturday, having won back-to-back matchups with the Bulls SU and ATS. Brooklyn stayed alive with a 95-92 win as a 1-point road favorite in Game 6 and won Game 5, 110-91, as a 6.5-point home favorite.

The early money has been on the home side and has pushed the spread from -6.5 to -7. Books don’t expect to move much higher than that, with late action on the underdog almost a certainty.

As for the total, the number has moved from as high as 184 to as low as 181.5. However, one book is reporting some larger wagers on the over, with the previous three games topping the total.

“One sizable bet is on the over 181.5,” Russ Candler of UWin.com told Covers. “He’s obviously seen what a points-fest this series has been in the past week.”
