Thank you Robert Griffin III. That’ll be enough.

Those sentiments are spreading across the football galaxy after the Redskins second-year quarterback had possibly the worst game of his pro career against the San Francisco 49ers Monday night.

Griffin managed only 127 yards on 17-of-27 passing, was picked off once and scrambled for just 22 yards on the ground – a grim reminder that the former Heisman winner is damaged goods after shredding his knee last season.

On top of those pedestrian stats, RG3 was sacked four times and knocked down on numerous snaps, forcing head coach Mike Shanahan to finally yank his No. 1 in the closing minutes of Monday’s blowout loss.

If Shanahan has his ear to the gridiron, he may want to heed the warnings of Niners LB Ahmad Brooks, who had two sacks Monday, and bench Griffin for the remainder of the lost 2013 season. But, according to the spread for Washington’s home date with the New York Giants Sunday night, it looks like RG3 is staying put under center.

Books are offering the Redskins as slim 1-point home underdogs in Week 13. While only a game separates Washington and New York in the NFC East standings, the difference in quality is about as glaring as RG3 circa 2012 compared to RG3 circa 2013.

Toledo Rockets at Akron Zips (+7.5)

Even with Rockets star RB David Fluellen out for the season finale in Akron, Toledo +7.5 seems a little low for this MAC matchup. The Rockets have found a more than suitable replacement in Kareem Hunt, who has rushed for 686 yards and six touchdowns in his last five games.

The Zips don’t have an offensive bone in their bodies, mustering only 19.2 points per game on the year. Akron scored just 14 points in a one-point victory over a UMass squad that hands out points in bunches (31.4 points against) and comes back with just 10.6 points for.

Toledo is pissed after letting Northern Illinois off the hook in the second half of last week’s home game. The Rockets held a 10-7 lead at the break but were outscored 28-7 in the final two quarters.

Texas A&M Aggies at Missouri Tigers (-4.5)

Missouri is the poster child for our weekly “Football lines that make you go hmmm…”, having been featured a few times throughout the season.

The biggest reason we keep coming back to the Tigers is the overall lack of respect from the betting market, which has discounted Mizzou all the way to a 9-1-1 ATS record – tied with Wisconsin as the nation’s best bet.

Books seem to be selling the Tigers short one last time against Texas A&M in the season finale. Missouri is a 4.5-point home favorite with more than enough motivation.

Not only is a shot at the SEC Championship Game on the line but revenge is on Mizzou’s mind after Johnny Manziel booked his ticket to pick up the Heisman with a 449-yard, five-TD performance in a 59-29 rout of Missouri last season.

Texas A&M has not performed well in its limited road games, going 0-3 ATS, and the Tigers will not hesitate to lay it on thick if they get up on the Aggies at home Saturday night.
