After a blazing start for games going under the total in the NHL playoffs, the trend has turned recently with the over going 12-2-5 overall since May 5.
The 'under' was 7-2-1 through the first three nights of the playoffs and reinforced a trend from the first round of the 2012 playoffs.
The $100 bettor would be up more than $1,138 if wagering on the 'over' in each of the 19 games since May 5.
Thursday's NHL action went 2-1 over/under, with the Penguins and Islanders playing as the lone under. Pittsburgh's 4-0 win stayed below the 6-goal total.
