This week's edition of Sunday Night Football brings us one of the best matchups of Week 11 as the Denver Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs.
We talk to Mike Perry, an oddsmaker with Sportsbook.ag, about the action coming in on Week 11's marquee matchup.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos (-7.5, 49)
From the lack of ink the Chiefs get, you wouldn't know they are the top team in the National Football League, bringing an unblemished 9-0 record into Sunday night's AFC West clash with the Denver Broncos.
The two teams are polar opposites. The Chiefs win with an amazingly-stingy defense which ranks at or near the top in virtually every category on that side of the ball.
The Broncos get the job done with a lethal offense, anchored by Hall of Fame-bound Peyton Manning and a stellar corps of targets.
At 12.3 ppg, the Chiefs D allows the lowest points in the league. The Broncos rack up an average of 41.2 ppg. Sunday night should show us what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object.
"Monday morning, we received a small sharp play on underdog +8.5 so we moved to +8," Perry told Covers. "Tuesday we made another move in KC's favor to the current number of +7.5, as a heavy majority of cash was banking on the Chiefs. Now, 55 percent of cash is on the Chiefs."
The total opened at 51.5, the lowest Broncos total since 48.5 in the Week 3 matchup with the Oakland Raiders.
The Broncos owned a flawless O/U record before suffering their first Under in last week's 28-20 win against the San Diego Chargers. Despite great success for Over bettors, bettors have hit the Under since post.
"Have seen a lot of movement on total for this game, which opened 51.5 and is now 49," Perry says. "This may be surprising to many, as 72 percent of cash on the total is taking the Under in a game in which Peyton Manning is playing."
