Gasol out for Lakers tonight; line moves down

Dec 4, 2012 |
L.A. Lakers forward Pau Gasol has been ruled out tonight for L.A.'s game in Houston against the Rockets according to ESPN Lakers beat writer Dave McMenamin.

Most books had the Lakers set as 2-point road favorites with the total set at 212.5 for tonight's game when the injury news broke. The line came off the board temporarily and when it went back up, the Lakers were just 1.5-point favorites. They have since been bet down to -1.

Gasol's minutes had been reduced over the past five games, where he saw a little less than 30 minutes of floor time in four of those outings. At the start of the season, Gasol was used to seeing closer to 40 minutes a game.

Gasol is averaging 12.6 points per game, 8.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He hasn't scored more than 13 in any of his previous six games though, and he was held to single digits in three of those contests.
