Bucs futures go from +5000 to +4000 after Revis trade

Apr 21, 2013 |
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have acquired cornerback Darrelle Revis from the New York Jets for two draft picks, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The Buccaneers were +5000 to win the Super Bowl at the Las Vegas Hotel SuperBook and +2500 to win the NFC on Monday. Tampa Bay has now dropped at some books, going down to +4000 at Bet365.com to win the Super Bowl and +2200 to win the NFC.

Tampa Bay opens the 2013 season on the road against Revis' old team, the Jets. New York opened as a 1-point favorite at the LVH SuperBook on Friday.

Revis tore his ACL in Week 3 of 2012 against Miami.

Considered by most to be the best shutdown corner in the game, the three-time All-Pro player was named the fifth-best player in the NFL in 2012 by his peers on the NFL Network's annual Top 100 Players show.

The Jets, who were +5000 to win the Super Bowl and +2300 to win the AFC at the SuperBook on Monday, are now +10000 to win the Super Bowl and +3300 to win the conference at Bet365.com.
