Timberwolves: no qualifying offers for Hummel, Jeffers

The Minnesota Timberwolves will not extend qualifying offers to forward Robbie Hummel and guard Othyus Jeffers by Monday's deadline.

Both players will become unrestricted free agents on Tuesday.

Hummel averaged 3.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 12.4 minutes over 53 games (five starts) for the Timberwolves last season. He was a second round draft pick by Minnesota in 2012.

Jeffers had two points and three rebounds in two games last season. The team signed him on April 8.
