Patriots sign rookie WR Johnson
The New England Patriots signed rookie wide receiver Jeremy Johnson, an undrafted free agent from SMU, the team announced Thursday.
Johnson, 22, led SMU with 112 receptions for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns as a senior in 2013 and earned All-American Athletic Conference second team honors.
The 6-foot, 179-pounder finished his four-year college career with 196 receptions for 1,936 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Johnson tried out for the Baltimore Ravens at their rookie minicamp, but wasn't signed.
