Covers member wins $154,659 on five-game parlay

One sports bettor’s holiday season just got $154,659.79 better this past Monday.

A Covers member, who we’ll call Mark from Virginia, wagered $4,000 on a five-game parlay, including the Clippers moneyline (+130) versus the Spurs, the Celtics to cover +1.5 versus the Timberwolves, the Senators moneyline (+125) against the Blues, the Jets moneyline (+105) versus the Blue Jackets, and the Ravens to cover +5.5 versus the Lions on Monday Night Football.

The planets aligned and made for one massive payday, which we confirmed with Mark’s book of choice Sportsbook.ag. But before you call Mark “lucky”, consider the fact he cashed in a seven-tier parlay for $52,407.22 back in June.

“Obviously, I have lost a bunch of parlays before this hit but that is no fun to talk about and this is just fun to look at,” Mark tells Covers via email.

Mark, who doesn’t consider himself a professional gambler by any means, says there is no rhyme or reason to his parlays. He does admit he is more likely to take risks with underdogs on his parlay bets because the payoff is far greater than a card full of favorites.

“I am always looking for something, but no one specific piece of data in particular, it just depends on the sport and situation,” he says. “I listen to everyone, read everything, and follow no one.”

As for what Mark plans on doing with his earnings, well, sportsbooks in Las Vegas have now been warned.

“I plan on hitting up Vegas in March with the loot. If I still have it,” he says.

these offshores don't pay those amounts, I know quite a few instances that the guy got stiffed. I would only play these huge parlays with the mob books pal. they pay. good luck .

If you have the massive wealth to regularly bet $4,000 per parlay you will once in a while hit a 40-1 payoff just like most folks who bet $10 a parlay do. A regular 6-team ATS parlay card pays 40-1. Only way this would impress me is if his normal bet size on a parlay were, say, $100, but he felt so sure on this one he bet $4,000. That would be something.

Just congrats to the winner man. Who cares if he's a winning pro or not. Everyone is so jealous of success and surely the greatest gambler to ever live. If they would have the money they would hit it to LOL If you could you would. Nice score and great win ! Hope you have a good run with whatever you decide to do ( you deserve it )

Mark's best bet is head for a 4-way parlay of Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and Switzerland, and open a few offshore bank accounts. Word is Obama has hired 16,000 new IRS agents and he wants his vig!

TrueFactor88 must be a rep for Sportsbook.ag. Listen, I've dealt with them for 4yrs. Yes they pay but when you score anything in the $10k range it takes time. I hit for $20k once and it took them 3months to pay. When I hit for a few dimes it usually gets to me FedEx in a few days. Mark, let's us know if there is any truth to this by telling us how long it takes to get paid in full. Nice hit man, very ballsy.

How about a congratulations and good luck in the future. None of you know if he plays SU games. And dabbles every once in a while in a nasty parlay for fun. That is dope, and what 70% of people on this website, and everyone commenting here wishes they could accomplish....cool 150k ... and yes he can collect from a sportsbook....anyone can, why would they run if you couldn't? What a dumb comment.

That's like betting $10 on a parlay and winning $400, something most of us have done. If he can afford to bet $4,000 on a parlay his disposable income is so huge, $150,000 is no big deal to him.

lol- dude is a loser, he states quite frankly it will all be gone by March when he goes to Vegas. He has lost hundreds of these and they post his winner, something about a blind squirrel

dude l dont claim to bet that much but l have been playing exclusively 3 to 5 team round robbins for 3 years with a budget of 200 bucks per week. Mostly select underdogs on money line or strong favorites on the puck line to bring the multiplier up. I am actually up money. (although currently on a losing streak). So it is possible to earn money on parlays long term just dont expect instant gratification.

After reading what SBR (Sports Book Review) has to say about this particular online sports book, it appears to me that Mark may have a very difficult time collecting some of the amount of money he's owed, let alone the full amount. ************************************************************************ Having said that, congratulations to you, Mark, on a tremendous parlay win and, it goes without saying, you deserve to collect every penny this book owes you.
