NFL betting: Patriots' TE Rob Gronkowski has torn ACL, MCL

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is done for the season after an MRI Monday confirmed he tore his ACL and MCL after taking a hit to his right knee in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, according to Profootballtalk.

The Patriots were listed as 4-point road faves at Miami next week according to LVH Superbook's weekly early NFL odds, but keep an eye on the line as this is major blow to Tom Brady and the Patriots, who were finally starting to look like their old selves on offense with Gronkowski back in the lineup.

The play making tight end laid motionless on the field after Browns safety T.J. Ward took him out with a low, but clean hit after a 21-yard reception.

Injuries have plagued Gronkowski's career for the past two seasons, having back and several forearm surgeries, before this seasons knee injury. His availability for the beginning of next season will seriously be in question.
