Chamber president in Ottawa to push Bill C-290

Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce president Matt Marchand was in Ottawa to talk to senators in an effort to pass Bill C-290, reports Brian Cross of The Windsor Star.

Bill C-290, Canada's single sports betting bill, was approved by the House of Commons 19 months ago and has sat in limbo ever since.

Per the Star:

Single game wagering would give Caesars Windsor an appealing element to casino goers since it is not offered in Detroit casinos across the river.

Marchand acknowledges there is much work to be done and would not comment on when he feels the bill might get passed.

Thanks for the update. Quite a drawn out process. Closer to single game wagering with sub par lines.
