Glasgow Rangers midfielder banned for betting against club

Ian Black, a midfielder for Scottish League One side Rangers, received a ban for at least three matches for betting on his own team's games.

Black admitted to placing wagers on Rangers to not win three matches between March and July of 2006.

The Scottish Football Association sentenced him to a 10-match ban, but seven of those matches will only be imposed if the midfielder breaks the rules once more over the course of this season.
