Tour de France fave Froome closing in on victory

Barring disaster on the final stage Sunday, Chris Froome will be crowned Tour de France champion and become the second Brit in a row to win the event after Bradley Wiggins won the Tour last year.

Froome finished third in Stage 20 Saturday and holds a lead of just over five minutes ahead of Joaquim Rodriguez and Nairo Quintana. Quintana won the stage and now sits second overall.

Froome opened as the -150 outright Tour de France favorite at the LVH.

Stage 21 is a 133-kilomenter (82-mile) cycle from Versailles to the Champs-Elysees in the heart of Paris.

Bet365 lists Mark Cavendish as the -125 favorite to win the final stage Sunday.
