Report: Celtics, Clippers working on blockbuster trade

The Los Angeles Clippers are close to acquiring Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce from the Boston Celtics, according to reports from Yahoo! Basketball Expert Adrian Wojnarowski and ESPN.

The two clubs are reportedly close to a blockbuster deal that would send the Boston trio to L.A. in exchange for center DeAndre Jordan, guard Eric Bledsoe and two first-round picks.

Rivers can't be part of a player transaction, but the inclusion of the draft picks – and/or Bledsoe – would allow Boston to free him of his contractual obligations.

The Clippers are also considering another scenario according to ESPN NBA correspondent Marc Stein.

The LVH SuperBook recently released its 2013/14 NBA futures odds and currently has the Clippers listed at 15/1 and the Celtics at 40/1 to win the NBA Championship.
