Reds pitchers costing pizza chain a lot of dough

A local Cincinnati pie joint is down more than $100,000 worth of free pizza.

LaRosa's Pizzeria gives away a free pie, valued at $6.79, to ticket holders when Cincinnati Reds pitchers strike out 11 or more opponents in their home games.

Of the Reds' 15 home games so far this season, seven have ended up with at least 11 K's for the home pitching staff. According to LaRosa’s executive vice president for marketing, the restaurant gave away just 13 pizzas all of last season.

Cincinnati is 13-9 on the season and leads the majors in strikeouts with 201 heading into Thursday. Reds bettors are up 0.26 units on the year.

the bet amount doesn't matter - .26 units - if you were placing $100 bets you'd be up $26 - $1000 bets you'd be up $260 - $10 bets you'd be up $2.60
