Cavaliers PG Kyrie Irving out versus Bulls tonight

Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard Kyrie Irving will sit out Tuesday’s road game against the Chicago Bulls due to a sore knee.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Irving will not play Tuesday leaving Cleveland to start Shaun Livingston (4.4 points per game) at point guard.

Oddsmakers opened Cleveland as high as a 7-point underdog in Chicago, which was bet down as low as +6. The line has jumped as high as +8.5 since news of Irving's absence while the total has moved from 190 to 189 points.

"(Irving is) worth between three to four points (to the spread) depending on the opponent," an oddsmaker at CarbonSports.ag told Covers. "After his performance during All-Star Weekend, I think he is at the top of the second tier (when it comes to impact on the spread). First tier being LeBron, Kobe, Durant, and Melo."

Irving has been nursing a sore right knee and scored 17 points and added five assists in the Cavaliers’ 109-105 loss to the Miami Heat Sunday. He is averaging just 14.5 points in his last two games, a big dip from his season average of 23.3 points per game.

Cleveland is 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS since the All-Star break. The Cavs are 17-12-1 ATS on the road this season but have failed to cover in their last seven games versus Chicago.

Well ..certainly wouldn't want any money on the OVER if Irving is out of the lineup.

Sorry for the harsh tone. Uncalled for. He has certainly been making a difference for them lately - playing very well.

For the record, I like Kyrie Irving as a player, but the team is 20 games under .500 with him in the lineup. Does it get much worse without him ?

Don't follow basketball much, do you? What, you just opened up the sports section, looked at their record, and decided to post?
