The Alabama Crimson Tide solidified its spot as the odds-on favorite (+160) to win the 2013 BCS National Championship Game with another convincing victory over Florida Atlantic to move to 4-0 on the season.
Here are five programs which have had their national title odds adjusted quite a bit after Week 4 of the NCAAF season:
Michigan Wolverines - +20,000 to +999,900
The Wolverines turned the ball over six times in their loss to Notre Dame Saturday night. Quarterback Denard Robinson was picked off four times and fumbled, sending Michigan into a tailspin down the BCS futures. The Wolverines have two weeks to work out the kinks on offense before visiting the Purdue Boilermakers on Oct. 6.
Clemson Tigers - +5,000 to +50,000
Clemson built a 28-14 lead over FSU early in the third quarter last Saturday, only to piss its lead away and allow the Seminoles to score 35 second-half points. Now the Tigers have to refocus for their upcoming clash with Boston College. The Sports Club, a Nevada-based oddsmaking service, sent out a suggested spread of Clemson -10.
Oklahoma Sooners - +1,500 to +6,000
The Sooners suffered a disappointing 24-19 home loss to Kansas State Saturday, which resulted in a slide down the rankings and BCS odds. To make matters worse, Oklahoma still has six Top-25 teams left on its schedule. The Sooners get a two-week break before hitting the road for a battle with Texas Tech.
Kansas State Wildcats - +10,000 to +5,000
The Wildcats ran all over the Sooners last Saturday and moved up to No. 8 in the Coaches’ Poll rankings and jumped significantly on the BCS futures list. Now they get two weeks to rest and prepare for the Kansas Jayhawks on Oct. 6.
South Carolina Gamecocks - +3,000 to +2,000
Marcus Lattimore ran for two touchdowns and QB Connor Shaw was stellar, completing his final 20 passes as the Gamecocks (2-0 SEC) moved to 4-0 for just the ninth time in 119 years of football with a 31-10 victory over Missouri Saturday. The Sports Club sent out a suggested spread of South Carolina -23 against Kentucky this week.
