Olympic Games dominating sports betting in Britain

The bookmakers in Britain are enjoying the London Olympic Games because the number of bettors on the sporting events has never been higher.

The 2012 Games has caused sport betting to double its numbers at Betfair and William Hill. It is estimated that nearly $30 million British pounds will be wagered by the conclusion of the Olympics on Sunday.

Nearly 70 percent of active bettors have placed at least one bet on the Games, according to research by the bookmakers. Most of these bets have been placed on soccer and tennis events.

William Hill have a number of Olympic closing ceremony prop bets available for bettors to have some fun with Sunday:
